I did a little social experiment, well actually it is ongoing. I created a fake profile on PoF and so far have had about 30 responses within a 24 hour period. Most of the response's were "hey whats up" "we should chat sometime" or "I would really like to get to know you". Mind you, 30 guys with virtually the same message. This is one day!!! If a pretty girl probably a 9 or 10 got 30-40 messages a day and they were all the same this would get old pretty quick.

The point I am getting to is that you need to make your opener very unique, funny, and most importantly something that grabs attention. I really cannot stress the importance of this because most women especially hotter women have to weed through 30-40 of these a day!

When you think of something to post you need to be unique humor and sarcasm work pretty well in most situations unless your sarcasm cannot be interpreted through message form. If you have something like that great because your message to response rate will be very high. If you don't have a method that works keep working on it, I will say however that if you look on this Online Game thread that WHOA perfect internet game works pretty well. Come up with something unique that fits you and draws attention.

I am going to continue with this social experiment because I find it mind blowing how similar these messages are from one another. I will continue by trying to find what most men say when asked to sell themselves. I am thinking that this is going to be somewhat of a similar result as the openers. My guess is that the results will be very general things such as what they do for a living, descriptions of personality(i.e. I;m a great guy, ect.), or more petty compliments.

This has been done at least three times in this section, every time with the exact same non-advice you give. Set yourself apart. Duh. Girls will still check out profiles with guys that have good pictures and if their profile is solid, they might still get a response.

Aye, agreed. It's not just as easy as sending a unique message, I think most people have saw the messages women get...'hi howz u', 'hey sexy' etc and they get loads. But they just look at the profile or pics and and reply to thier taste.

My messages are always unique, different and tailored to the girl's profile but that still doesn't get me 100% repsonse rate.

But that doesn't mean to just send out the generic messages, it just means that don't think sending unique messages is gonna get you responses everytime.

Yeah I mean a 100% response rate is kind of out of reach I dont really think your going to ever get one that high but maybe a 60-70% response rate is more plausible. When you are sending out say a your sexy or something like that probably expect a 5-10% response rate if that!
