Been talkin to this girl for a while, we have a date thing arranged, but it is a group social event. This girl is great, but I've known her a while and she is a Victim and a manipulator. Some guys say don't waste your time, but she's a lot of fun when she's not out to break a heart. I honestly don't trust her IOI's though.
We have a past romantic history, ended with me being a whiny little bitch, so her IOI's confuse me extra.
Here's a text between us two today, she opened

Her: Heyyy
(Exaggerated greeting? I've always thought of that as a good sign)

Me: Hey smelly Whats up?
I've never been good at teasing, and this seems like a weak response to me)

Her: Hey, I'm not smelly I actually showered and put on girly smells, going to someones house, you?
(Validation for the negg? My understanding is thats a good thing. And following my frame?)

Me: Haha, can't smell as good as me. Just wastin time at work, the last hour is always so boring.
(Zero game here. I took the smell bit one step too far.)

Her: I dunno, I get paid based on how hard I work. And I might, you'll never know will you?
(Attack at me, or shit test? Either way, not what I wanted.)

Me:I can smell you from here
(Lame. Could have turned it around or escalated I bet. And keeping with the smell bit too much.)

Her: And you must be in ecstasy from it
(I'm sure I would be, girls too quick for me. I have no idea...)

Me: Hahaha, you're good at this. You discuss your smell often?
(I dun even know man.)

Her: No, I just think fast
(I desperately want to believe thats some sort of validation...)

Me: Crazy. you up to much tonight?
(Trying to change subject. I think)

Then we continue to chat about nonsense (chicken wings, weed, babies, my bass).
Afterwards, twice I put down the phone after a text, waited, and received another after a while. Makes me feel good when I do this. It only works so many times though. Woops.
This is simply my analysis, I find it better to write stuff down and go through it slowly. Feel free to comment. I'd love more input

reading over what you put down it does seem like you are at a disadvantage. if she texted you first that is always a good sign unless she was that bored/attention starved and used you for that reason.

your first response seems slightly awkward unless its a play back from a neg that you used before or a funny moment you have shared.

her response on the second is fine till she put "someones house" unless that is you covering the name. I would have to assume it's a guy and she is trying to build herself up by texting you before she goes over.

I would of put "ah huhs of course =) aren't you a busy one? no invite for shame lol jk"

the rest of it just sounds like she is stroking her ego and you are playing into it. as you said in the beginning of your post don't trust her IOI. Disarm her and and treat her like just any other girl regardless of what went on in the past. Only use the past to neg her playfully (and within reason of course).
