I haven't ever really seen much around here posted in relation to "getting into the zone". Does anyone ever give themselves a bit of a pep talk/confidence boost before they go out somewhere (bar, party, coffee shop) where they have a chance to meet girls? Or better yet, if they know a certain girl is going to be where they're going and they don't wanna psych themselves out and fuck up?

For example, I'm going to a rec game right away, and this girl on my team (who came to a game last year) is apparently going to be there. She's a HB9, all around awesome girl.. real girlfriend material. I also found out via facebook (the event page) that she's gonna be at a party I'm going to later. We'll recognize each other at the game but don't know each other that well. I'm not too worried about talking to her at the game, but more at the party later. I don't wanna get too focused on her and act like a try hard, or psych myself out.. but I want to talk to her a bit, make a good first impression, and hopefully score her # by the end of the night.

How do you guys focus on your game and not screw shit up? :P This is one quote that I saw on here months ago, my apologies I can't remember who said it.. but I often read this before I go out.. "Don't take life so seriously. You know what, we are all going to get old and die. Let go of all your insecurities and just go for it."

Just make sure you go for what you want and not over psych yourself , Ive seen it all too often where a wing will get hyped into state and that energy can quickly go bad and turn into anxiety if they get spooked by a bad first set or the clubs dead etc.Dont put too much value into this girl before she has shown you the same ,instead find out first hand if shes up to scratch when you talk with her.
I used to do heaps of psyching ie 20mins tapping,watch pua vids,listen to positive stuff,loud music,porn,tiny amount of weights etc etc
But it can quicky turn from a pump up to a panic that only beers could fix.
Now i relax and know i dont need all the ducks to line up for me to do well and that calmness confidence overrides any amout of hype infeild.
