I am almost done with the book, and I don't think all guys can get away with displaying said "Mode 1" behavior. I think alot of dudes would get slapped in the face, confronted by an angry boyfriend, or even get a sexual harassment charge.

I think only certain dudes can pull this off.

Thoughts?

It is a very popular book among the PUA community. However I just don't think it will work for every guy. It actually could have destructive results.

I don't really know what 'mode one' means. If it's about acting like an arrogant twat, and always going 'caveman' in PUA terms then I can relate to that. That was typically my style before I started reading PUA material and stopped drinking heavily. I would typically have just gone up to any girl in a club and started grinding. For example I remember once saying to a girl who gave me a look of disguist "what the fucks wrong with you, you don't like big cocks or something?". My mates always used to say that I acted sleazy and blatantly after sex. It only tends to work with slutty girls or those 6 or below. This approach was also very poor at getting into proper relationships and only tended to be successful with one night stands. I was told I had a bit of a reputation as "an obnoxious twat." Anyway my heavy drinking and drug abusing days are over, i've had to change my style since then as it's not really conducive to a sober lifestyle. I have to say it is a fun way of doping things though.

p.s. you have to be relatively attractive if you act like this and be able to egotistically gig yourself up A LOT. I had a reputation with a lot of sex appeal from women, but everyone thought I was an ass hole. I've got a different social circle and lifestyle since then, so like I've said I'm trying to learn to be smoother and actually have relationships, not just calls for sex and one night stands.

Also like to say in addition to my post that this would suggest the idea that any PUA must develop 'natural game'. You can only adopt tactics in ways that's conducive to your personality. If you're living a hyped up hedonistic lifestyle then the way I approached things was conducive. If you're a wiser, calmer person then likewise you'll need a different approach. Fortunately I'm still quite confident, but have just transformed from a bad guy with no self respect, to a good guy with respect for himself and others.

I wouldn't use one of Mysteries openers or magic tricks simply because it's not relevant to me and who i am. I would however adopt the tactic of using my own negs, and attempt to elicit possitive emotions and sexual escalation. I think it's quite nerdy to try and adopt a style purely from a book, just seems fake. Always remember to keep it real and be true to yourself.

Nah man, you hit the nail on the head. You were probably a natural dickhead alpha male jock with muscles to back it up. It sounds like none of the other dudes would fuck with you. That's why this straight-forward behavior worked.

I'm just surprised no one else has read it.

Since putting Mode 1 into practice, my results have increased tenfold, I hardly ever get any LMR, girls are not at all surprised or shocked when I escalate or kiss, and I never get friendzoned.

Now, you don't have to SAY you want to fuck them explicitly. And, you also don't need to be an asshole. But, I find that approaching directly, and clearly expressing your romantic / sexual intent AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, is the BEST way of going about communicating with women you find attractive.

I have not been slapped or called a jerk or had a boyfriend try and kick my ass. In fact, I've had women THANK me for brightening their day, be AMAZED at my confidence, and even APOLOGISE for having to go meet their boyfriend. And those are the times I get "rejected."

Hmm interesting. I think I have recently reached the level where I can display mode 1.

Reading the book at the moment. More just a matter of being direct and telling women that you fancy them on your first meeting. I don't know if you really need to read a book on that idea.

Currie could just do with explaining how to get an F-close when the idea of taking girls on dates whereby you can't spend money is prohibited. I agree with the idea, could just do with a bit more practical advice on how to start a relationship and get the women to have sex with you, without needing to take them out and spend any money

Forgot to say however that this books point is very, very valid for success with letting women know that you don't want to just be their friend, also a book that is highly motivational for getting your ass out of the door and approaching random hot strangers with a successful outcome, for better or worse.
