Nah. It would be a short date! I've been on the other side of that. A long time ago, I got a phone # of a girl of borderline physical attractiveness that really I shouldn't have. Shoulda ducked the date but I didn't. She brought an ugly friend along uninvited. We all sat down in the bar where I had met her, and for 15 minutes they both proceeded to say very nasty things about people who walked in the door. I wasn't even a substantive part of the conversation, it's like she had forgotten we were supposed to be on a date and she thought it was important to be ragging on people with her ugly friend. I said, "Ok, I've had about enough of this" and left! I was told by my bar buddies that these 2 cackling shrews proceeded to make fun of me for the next hour or so, but nobody liked them. They definitely thought I made the right move.

This taught me to never question my instincts about a bad date. If I got a phone # that I really shouldn't have, because I was off my game and setting for less, lose that number. Don't compound mistakes with more mistakes. Cut it off early, before it gets worse. Don't be nice / AFC about following through. Women ditch guys, it's in their repertoire. Sometimes, even guys end up with a phone # against their better judgment, that they really should ditch.
I'm not entirely sure you're being serious, but it's definitely true of various women I've met online. I've had better, so generally it bores me too much to try to overcome it. Last POF woman I met online like that, after 2 messages I said, "So how about that coffee? It would be easier to keep a conversation going." Fully aware that she was very unlikely to write back.
