Hey,

I am new to the game. I haven't done a lot of cold approaching
but I have talked girls at parties etc. My basic strategy is to ask
open ended questions and just try to keep the conversation going
to build rapport and hopefully get in from there. Okay, I have had
limited succes.

Anyway, I read some of the posts for starting out and there is a lot
of useful info floating around but it is kinda just all over the place.
I assume this been asked before, but is there a post for "beginners"
detailing the steps in the game from approaching to closing.

There are many different methods. Some people will tell you to be indirect (where you pretend not to be interested at first, starting conversations by asking for girls' opinions) and follow a set process, use DHV stories, routines etc. and others will tell you to just be direct and have natural spontaneous conversations...

Everybody has a different style and different theories on what works and what doesn't. The only way you can ever figure it out for yourself is to go out and try things. Use what works, get rid of what doesn't work. Also different methods will work for different people e.g. outgoing guys will have different game to more introverted guys. So yeah, just read a few things, try them out.
