Musicians report in!

I want to know what you play and your experience. I'll start. I've played guitar, both acoustic and electric, for 8 years and I just started trying to sing recently. I can play in most styles except for jazz. That shit's hard, man. And, like most guitarists, I can't read sheet music. lol jk, but I can't sight read whatsoever.

Who here does what? Let's see if we can get some collaboration going. I thought this was a killer idea:

minus the terrible singer

I write rap sometimes. Mostly just as an outlet though if I'm pissed off. Also attempting to learn how to produce beats, and 7 years of trumpet.

Hey Chief-

I play saxophone... jazz trained for about 10 years now. Clarinet was my first instrument, and I can get down on flute as well. So I have the woodwinds covered.

I just taught myself guitar too, a couple years ago now, but wouldn't you know it I have NO IDEA how to play jazz on guitar either!

I can mix tracks in my little home studio... How about a surprise jingle for lurkers on the forums

klausmasterk, do you have any links to your band's music?

My band just got done recording our first EP (a demo really) and we should be finished mixing this week. I'll definitely post links when they're available.

I used to be a soft rock - accoestic singer.
I've played african percussion drums for about 6 years (Djembé etc.)
& I write vocals & produce them for harddance music.

I'm a producer. I make HipHop beats... every now and then I'll take an acapella and remix it.

12 years of guitar, mostly electric. Most of my shit's heavy, though I do blues as well. That said, time constraints have restricted me to the occasional-hobby-musician-level. Gotta go check out some of your stuff now...

Guitar, Bass, Singing, Irish Bouzouki, Violin, Ukulele, Mandolin, Synthesizer/Sampler and I play a bit of Harmonica too, and yes I find time every day to play every single one of them :) My old band fell apart because our drummer had to repeat his last year of secondary school while me and my bandmate/twin brother got enough points to go to university, so I'm in between bands, got a few offers though, so I'm optimistic :D
