To the OP, yes, the stupid jargon and general "community" terms and ways of being can turn you weird.
However, if you don't know anything and you're currently not achieving success with women, then just telling a guy to be confident doesn't really help. You have to learn HOW to be confident in your words, actions, bodylanguage, etc. and that takes time.
If you walk into a club and confidently approach the first 10 you see and say, in the most confident way possible, with great bodylanguage "hey, can I buy you a drink." Then pay for it in the most alpha way you can, and then, with the most seductive voice tonality imaginable say "so, what do you do?" you probably won't be getting laid.
You still have to learn GAME, which means "different shit to say and do instead of what 99% of guys say and do that is boring and doesn't make women respond favourably."
And a lot of people who learn game, use shortcuts to talk about it, so they can say "the guy AMOGed me" instead of "the man who was generally the leader of the group and acting in a very alpha-male way, used cutting satire, jibes and aggressive body language to best me in a battle of words that left me unable to continue my interaction with the young lady I was pursuing at that moment."
Knowing the terms doesn't automatically make you skilled. You still have to go out there and practice in-field. But to say that because the terms are essentially arbitrary and random means that the SUBSTANCE of what game is about is essentially meaningless is total rubbish.
