A female friend (and most of my male ones) told me it is gay to have one. I wanna get one in the upper left ear (the non gay one). I get mixed responses from girls since ive been asking them recently, i used it as a opener a few times.

Some say its cool and others say its gay or even that it wouldnt look good one me.

So what do you guys think?

My MMA instructor has peircings in both his ears. Doubt he's gay.

At the end of it though, why are you worried if part of your personal style is considered camp by some? Surely how you act is more important in determining whether the peircing is gay or just a non plus.

I saw a guy in Muscle & Fitness with a black guage in his left ear. It was small though, and you should do the same! I personally believe the small things are the things that get noticed the most!

Earrings are good for peacocking.

Most of the meatheads (of all races) I know have diamond earrings like the rappers wear.

Just make sure you have muscles and a deep voice.

If you're muscular, have a shaved head, and wear a diamond earring, you will look hard.

If you're skinny, have long hair, and wear an earring, you will look gay.

Capisce?

man, im not a meathead and dont have a high opinion of meatheads. I also dont think I need a big ass diamond in my ear since I dont want to look like everyone else.

I was thinking a small gold or black stud in the upper left ear...

Well it sounds like you want it, but you're just trying to justify it. I say just get it! It's only a piercing. If you change your mind later on you can take it out.

From the looks of it it sound like Im the only guy here with his ears pierced.
I have a small metal stud in both my ears but plan on gauging them a small bit and putting in black hoops. I hate gold and diamond shit.

Is getting your ears pierced gay? No.

Nothing you wear is gay.

Gay is having sex with another man.

So, wear whatever you like. But yeah, some chicks will digg piercings, some won't. It's personal taste.

Yes, get your ears pierced. Do not get only one ear pierced, that is from the 90's. Get both ears pierced at a 14 or 16 guage, and buy some nice small diamonds to fit right in there.

Fist off, it greatly improves your sense of hygiene and makes you look more clean cut all around. Second, its a very subtle but extremely effective peacock accessory. If you want style points, diamond earings are IN these days. Third, all different types of chicks will approve of your diamond earings, and it is definitely NOT gay.

And also, meatheads do NOT wear earings. I can't even believe i just read the word meathead in a post about pierced ears. Seriously guys...

I think its a cultural thing: I'm from NYC and most guys there have at least one piercing, I myself have one in each lobe.

Now that I'm in the Navy, I hardly wear them because I'm in uniform so much, but I do sometimes when I go out in town.

I asked a girl I made friends with from a club down here (SC) if it was gay for a guy to wear them. She said not at all, but she's into guidos, so I'm not sure how reliable her opinion is.

However I think earrings are definitely great for pea-cocking, and I like wearing them because it goes with my style. I find I dress differently than most of the college guys around here. My appearance and accent opens up conversation about where I'm from. For some reason being from NYC is DHV.

Go to a tattoo and piercing studio ask the guy with a million piercings and the super gauge ear holes if hes gay -- Get pierced. Get out.

It only looks gay on beta males & guys who are actually gay. I think you made a mistake by asking your friend what they thought about piercings. Makes you seem insecure about your decision and shows you care more about what they think about it then what you think about it.

If you don't think the look fits you (or you still feel insecure about how they make you look) then just take them out. No harm done. Personally, I don't like how conventional diamonds are. Black loops, gauges, buttons, faux claws, (real claws ) compliment a good edgy look.
