what is your take on video games? I was/am a gamer... I'm taking it easy lately, and venturing off to do more things, but I still enjoy them to no extent. I was just wondering what do people here think of them?

Im a post gamer just like yourself, but after acquiring a more social lifestyle I dont game all to much anymore.

If your looking for a game to play with a girl I HIGHLY recommend Little Big Planet. Looks cute, Co-op, Easy to play, perfect for negs.

I personally think playing video games is great, especially with girls.

I used to play WoW and video games in general to a sickening degree. It's part of why I never had a girlfriend my whole life and decided to get into pickup, it messed up my social skills badly. My friends actually had an intervention and bitched me out, that's how bad it was. It nearly caused me to fail school. I knew the amount I played was already out of hand but I didn't think it was affecting the people around me that badly. I gave away all my items and deleted my characters after.

I have now quit playing games altogether and it freed up A LOT of time. Now my mind is so much more focused and my beliefs about myself are constantly getting better. In order to fill the gap WoW left I now do boxing, dance, and take improv classes. I haven't played a major (I mean major as in the big titles) video game in over 10 months. I sometimes play a flash game on freeonlinegames sometimes if I have 10 or 15 minutes to kill.

That being said, games in moderation are okay. People often bond over video games or it can make a house party that much better. I have nothing against someone who plays it, but there are definitely better things you can fill your time with.
