OK so this HB9 (who I don't know) randomly sends me a message on facebook saying she's looking for a guy and wants to get to know me ect (but didn't friend me), (I guess she saw that I was single?) Since this like never happens I ignored it at first for like a week thinking it's spam since I've been getting nothing but spam from facebook.

Then I sent her a reply asking "are you real?" to which she replies "yes!"

So then she asks me for my yahoo ID (I didn't have one) so I made one and gave it to her.

She then contacts me on yahoo and says

her:I'm looking for a good guy ect. (sorta weird but I go with it)
Me: cool
Me: so you are real
Her: yes!
Her: so how old are you and where are you from?
me: I tell her
me: and you? (she doesn't answer)
her: so what do you do for a living?
me: College
her: you don't work?
me: I do computer work part time but a full time job no, i'm in college
her: ok
me: what about you?
her: I buy and sell art stuff
me: cool, so you buy stuff and sell it for a higher price? (doesn't respond to that)
me: so how old are you and where are you from?
her: 21 and I'm from CA but I'm in Louisiana right now.
me: Oh I love CA
her: really?
me: yea I lived there for 2 years since I was a military brat (which is true)
her: so (...didn't acknowledge that or anything)
me: how long have you been doing this online thing?
her: 2 years
me: any luck so far? (she doesn't answer)
me: so what type of guy are you looking for?
her: honest, emotional, fun to be with, have things in common ect ect. you?
me: I tell her what I like in a girl and that I also like getting to know them as friends
her: Cool, I think we should get to know each other first
me: well that's how it usually works lol
her: so tell me more about yourself
me: there's so much I don't know where to begin
her: start anywhere
me: I've lived in 5 different places (and told her where)
me: your turn
(after 10 minutes of nothing)
her: hold
me: hold?
(5 minutes later)
me: ok
(5 more minutes)
me: I got to go bye.

Most girls I've talked to online were much more talkative and responsive. I have the feeling that despite her good looks, she's a bimbo or something.

Anyway what should I have done differently (in case I didn't keep her interest or something).

I was trying to get the basics out of the way and get to know her more (make the judgement that she wasn't some older creep) before bringing some cocky/funny on her.

This is weird and has never happened to me before.

From your post it appears "she" was the one that got a whole lot of info from you and you were barely able to get anything out of her. Sometimes if it sounds or looks to good to be true, it probably is. Anyone can post a pic.

It's probably a dude or someone you know, or an attention-whore.

That sounds like a total scammer or bot. Any hot chick coming and asking for yahoo right off is probably a nigerian. Show me da monies.

She had no interest in you whats so ever. You have been social engineered, its a hacking method that will allow the person to gather information from you with out you even realizing it. Check through what you wrote that person got so much background information about you, if they stole your bank card etc or any other info they could do loads of stuff. This information gets sold on the black market so watch yourself people!
