Here's the situation, I met this girl at work party. She was with 2 well known lesbians and I figured she was a lesbian as well by their interactions all night. I found out she is straight and single. I assumed she was a lesbian, I did neg her a few times all night and she was asking questions about me, vice versa. Not to mention that someone kept saying I was gay (jokingly) I tell her friend after she left and I found out she is single; I would have asked for her number if I knew she was straight and single. Her friend tells her, I'm interested and she said "I had a cute face", I give my number to her friend to give to her, the friend texts me and gives me her number. Her friend said "here is her number, she said to give it to u!"....she said "don't be crazy aggressive and she is interested in you (me)"

Now, I know she is interested, I did neg her a few times, etc. She does not have my number...What should I text her? I'm looking to date her, not a one nighter if that matters...I'm new to this. I was thinking "tag ur it"

Try making a funny comment about something you were talking about that night. leave a little mystery about who you are. don't give it away right away.

Well mate, how long has it been since you this happened? More than a day or two & you blew it. The ideal time is the day after, to get her to remember all that lovely emotion and whatnot.

Now if you think you can salvage it try to evoke that feeling of interest again. Relate something back to the night, maybe make a joke and like a sociable adult ask her out

Yeah, be very careful about trying to be funny in texting, because the situational irony revealed by body language and facial expression (i.e. big cocky smile) is absent here, especially to those who don't know you well. I once number closed a HB8-9 stripper over ten years younger than me, than proceeded to blow it by waiting too long (to "show her" I wasn't "too [over] interested"). I think she shit tested me for it, and then I wrote something that would have been taken as an ironic joke if she had known me better--but she didn't know me better and I probably came off as a typical 'customer' jerkoff to her...
