I couldn't tell you the last time I've ever froze on a girl, but it happened to me the other day at the grocery store. I think more than anything it was the situation. I ran across a girl I went to high school with 8 years ago. I was an art kid and she was a cheerleader the grade below me. We never hung out only had a class together. Yeah, that'd have bothered me back then. However, I've changed since waaaaay before the community since then.

I can't explain what happened. Normally, I can approach without a second thought or hesitation. However, with her I couldn't figure out a good way to do it. Everything was there to let me know she wanted the approach, but nothing came to my mind. Granted I admit having a bit of a crush on this girl back then, but that's never stopped me before. My gut just kept me from doing it.

I chalk it up to proof that no matter how much you practice and how witty you are, I guess from time to time you can still revert back to AFC in no time. Maybe next time.

Not that I don't appreciate the help, but my hesitation was more from the angle that I couldn't think of anything to say. At least nothing that made sense. I've never had to approach someone I've previously met 9 years ago with the intent of hitting on her when I was a coward in the past. I don't see telling her I was a pansy then and want to make a move now as being a good option unless I wanted to be completely creepy.

Honestly, if you see her again, JUST make the move. She may not even remember the AFC you used to be. And, if she does, the new you will make a MUCH better impression on her.
