Now that I'm about to graduate I thought I would take my chances and message her on facebook since we rarely have an opportunity to see eachother. I saw her dad in school, so I thought that it could be a good conversation starter by asking why is he in school. Now the conversation has strayed to academics, and I was "asking" her what topic did she choose. It was something like this:
"What topics did you guys have?"
"We have A & B"
"I bet you chose B!"
"LOL no, I chose the other one"
Now I've been thinking about 2 responses to this. Either I neg her by saying "Oh, smart people would have chosen B" or show interest by saying "Dang, I need to know you better!" and start asking her alternative contact info.
Which one would be better? Or is there a better response to this?

even if you don't know her that well.
i would go with something like "that is so you, you havent changed a bit"
this would probably make her qualify herself to you and she'd be like "no way! i have so changed..." and then you can have fun from there. the idea is to be really playful especially since when youre using fb a lot of what you say can be misinterpreted because its text.
