I just got a HD Spy Cam and I know there are legal issues when recording without getting proper permission. I was going to have a friend film while I do pick up then at the end get permission. I was thinking that it was kind of creepy though of saying, "Oh yeah you're being filmed!" Is there any smooth way of saying it to get the girl's permission? For instance, "I'm doing a documentary for men of how to communicate with women and I just wanted to let you to know that my friend over there *POINT TO FRIEND* is filming using a spy pen. Would it be okay for us to put your names and faces in the video?"


How do the mPUA's get permission for filming the girls in their videos? Thanks!

Its a spy cam, why get permission? Cant you just edit out faces. I doubt anyone gonna see it and suit you.

You know, it's a good idea to get permission from the girl to protect yourself from legal issues.

One way to prevent her # from being broadcasted on the video is to get her to type her # in your phone instead of her verbally saying it out loud.

Hmmmm....I don't know how you'd get their permission. I know when Orion and Kamal made that Magical Connections video, they always asked for permission before they sarged the chicks and even made them sign something. But, I don't know if the newer PUAs do that.

these PUA's out there...the videos they put up....they dont get permession for filming on street or with cellphone cam unless its a nightclub or sumthng

Blur the face, bleep out the name/other personal information.

The point is to make the recording about you, so bleep out anything personal the girl tells you.

What software do you use to blurt the face and bleep out the names and other personal information? I would be VERY interested in this because I like to make sarge vids.
What Spy Cam did you get and where'd you get it from??? The spy pen cam I use is definitely NOT high definition. I'd like an HD spy pen.

You can also be honest with them afterwards, explaining what you did and promising to blur out their faces and cut out their names.

If they are okay with it, there's no harm.

if they aren't okay with it, delete the footage.



As for software of blurring out faces, I don't know.....

I'm pretty sure there's something out there. Maybe even email/ask someone who edits video footage regularly.

I can ask my film crew buddy if you like if he knows anything.

Adobe After Effects can blur out faces and also Sony Vegas Pro can do it too!

If they agree to use their faces, you should legally get them to sign what's called a "release," so that you don't technically infringe their image rights if you use the video for any commercial purposes.
