I recently begun talking to a chick I know from before online. At first, after our online conversation, I thought that she was showing less intrests then I on the conversation, but upon closer inspection I noticed something (and I noticed this about some of our previous conversations). In all the online conversations, she has been able to (very subtly) extract way more information about me then I do with her, I don't know what happens, cause i don't do this in real life, but I just sacrafice a lot more info to her hten she does to me.

Like simple things like What i was doing, to what my intrests are etc.

Are women doing this conciously? And what does it indicate (othe rhten the fact that I"m getting chumped game-wise?) Does a woman doing this indicate intrests?

How can you avoid it online (I can avoid sacraificing info in real life better for some reason).

How did her asking, "what are you doing", made you give out your interests and stuff? Just tell her what you are up to and no more. You need to switch and be the one asking the questions instead. In online chat people always try to fill the void with narcissism. Make her fill that hole herself... then you can fill it later

I think i"m typing too fast, i'm naturally a fast typer, so even when i ask a question, she may also ask a question and what happens is i see the question and type so fast the response that she dosn't have time (or maybe this is her strategy) to respond, and then moves on to talking about the response to that question. I"m going to type slower now.

Let me ask everyone this though, so if this is a person I want to actually beging to qualify, how would you move the conversation from basically "what have you been up to" type exchanges to meaingful information about her personality, background, etc. I want to get to know what kind of person she really is... is there a way to extract this sort of information subtly?

The easiest way I find to make a chick qualify herself is to disagree on something. Ask her what type of music she likes, and if you don't like what she likes then just say "wow, you have a really bad taste!", but if you DO like it then DON'T do this or it would be hard to explain yourself when you've got the same type of music in your iPod and she finds out later (been there, it sucks!). This is interchangeable with anything, like movies, sports, etc. When someone has a negative comment on something you like, most of the time you would try and defend it. It works the same way with girls. After that you can ask more personal questions in the pretense that you want to find something that you actually see eye to eye. You can be playful by saying that her opinion is "wrong" and the "correct" answer is this this this and after a barrage of personal questions tally up the score and tell her whether she had passed or failed the "compatibility test" and that you guys will/will not get along. Of course, by doing this you are also revealing your own interests, but you can always be very vague about this so she doesn't know everything right away.
