2 set: One girl married, the other had boyfriend

I hit a set at Green Street, a popular private club in Salt Lake City. Unaware at the time of approach, one HB7 was married and the other HB8 was taken by her boyfriend.
The approach I always use is jealous girl friend. Because I never watched the VH1 show the pick up artist, my cousin told me they always uses that opener. So I felt compelled to alter my game so that if any HB has seen the show I wouldn't have to explain. My explanation would basically be about PUA community and how which opener is best? Then I would just continue my game that is not shown on VH1 (at least most of it).
I opened with my version of jealous girl friend, which I'll post another day. I was getting the sweats because this would be the first time that my new idea was tested in the field. I was a bit shaky, but that soon subsided when both girls started in on their advice. They were totally into helping my supposed friend and I. This piece alone lasted 10 mins because they were so into it.
The next step I did was best friends’ test which was another success and lasted another 5 mins. I then floated the conversation by asking them where they were from, which led into where they went to college and where they work. They were very open at this point.
When the conversation came to a stand still, or they were done talking about themselves and ran out of questions for me (there were several, which I took some as IOIs), I went into my version of C & U shape smiles. I was into this set around 25 mins. It was time to lock in. I was not able to get them to ask me to tell them about my freaky ex-girl friend who changed her smile. I failed at this, but I told them about her anyway, just not in great detail because they weren't really into it.
At this time, I called in the wing. I decided to DHV because it had gone pretty smooth thus far. I thought I would just isolate my target and try the cube on her since she seemed some what intellectual and into what I was saying. I figured both were into my routine because they were completely turned around at the bar. There were no available chairs so I couldn't simply sit down with them.
I performed the cube and it worked like a charm. She was telling me that it was very accurate and even told her friend to listen how good I was. After my performance, I knew it was time to end on a good note and close the deal considering they were there to eat and talk and not to dance and stay for a long while.
Finally I told them that we should hang out at Liquid Joes on Saturday night because it is 80s night and we always have a blast. They agreed, so I gave the HB8 my number that I wrote down on a piece of paper and gave her my pen and another piece of paper, but she then informed me for the first time that she had a boy friend, but she said that she would take mine and told me that she hoped that we would meet again at the club. We said our goodbyes.
Evaluation of the 2 set-
I give myself a 7 out of 10 looking back on it. I should have done the following: Looked to see if any girl was wearing ring instead of a HB7 telling me she was married, though I did get her to tell me that she wanted to hang out again. I should have told her that married HB to bring her husband too because I was only into HB8. Also, HB8 told me that she had a similar jealousy problem with her man, but I never investigated into it and she dropped it. I should have locked in better so that when I was doing the cube, I was sitting down. I should have done thumb wrestling and got her up so that I could sit down. My biggest mistake was the number closing. I did not assume the sell! Everything to this point was pretty damn smooth. I should have told the girls earlier in the set that we go to Liquid Joes for 80s night and not invite them. The when I was closing I should have invited them then instead of doing it in one big step. Also, when I was doing style's number close, which was my first time, I failed by (the above) and by not actually handing my target the pen and paper, and tell her that I would call her after I tell them both to come along with us next weekend. I put the pen and paper on the table. I did not assume the sell! Fuck! That won't happen again. lol.
