I use the nickname jazz, why? because i live in a generally small area where i know alot of people.

There are only about 10 clubs to choose from in my entire city, if im going to say fucked up things to girls and approach alot of different girls i dont want people to talk about me like im a big player thats a sure way to not get laid ever.

Example of this, i went up to 2 random chicks and didnt realise one was crying, she shot me down and a couple of people i knew saw it happen. 2 days later all of my mates were askin about the "chicks that rejected me" cracking jokes n shit, and a whole lot of people labellng me the guy who goes out and picks up girls.

I didnt even pick the chicks up either. Smaller cities are tough work

Its fun to pick and chose between names, it doesnt change who you are. A name is a label, if you thnk giving our your nickname is a pretence so you can fake confidence... you are an idiot.

Obviously everyone missed the point of the post. It's not to go around introducing yourself as "Jazz" or whatever, and it's not about faking confidence. A lot of the people who started doing this lacked confidence. The nickname is for yourself. You can introduce yourself as whatever, but you think to yourself as being "Jazz" or "Style" or whatever. It's not to fake confidence, but it gives you a Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde thing going on. For a lot of people, confidence isn't as easy as just realizing you're the shit. But when you create an alter ego inside of yourself, it can definitely help you, especially in the beginning to separate the boundaries of how you used to see yourself.

When you look at Neil Strauss' before and after pictures, you see the difference. Through working towards being a PUA, he transformed himself. He was no longer the old Neil Strauss, but he was "Style". And of course, as Neil Strauss did, he went back to being Neil Strauss again. You can always go back to being completely yourself, no alter ego, just an improved you. But in the beginning, this can be a helpful inner game method to create yourself your James Bond, Brad Pitt, or whoever alter ego. You will tell yourself that you are always you. But your alter ego can act like and be anybody.

It's not faking confidence, it's creating you're new you.

Yes, it could be used as an alter ego. I used my avatar to do stuff that I was afraid of doing myself... Going into that role made it easier to see it as just a game.

However, I dont do that anymore. I am me.

Yes, I wouldn't expect you at this point in time to still be having an alter ego. At some point, everybody should be going back to seeing themselves, this is just a way to give yourself a crutch when you're starting out to make things easier.

Interestingly, this is something that happens to all of us eventually.

There are two concepts at work. People talk about full AFC reversal where PUAs lose their PUA ways and go back to being AFC, and they talk about going natural where PUAs drop the routines and go on with their own understaiding of the game and solid inner game.

It is the same thing really. The only difference is how much you have understood before going back to being yourself.
