i am really bad at this, they will tell me their names and i dont even pay attn lol.

i was number closing a girl at a bar, hung out for about an hour, some kino, some dancing, some laughing. punching her # into my phone and i realize i dont remember her name lol. so of course i say how do you spell your name?

she says, "how do you think i spell it?" im thinking, fuck im busted

i say confidently and laughing slightly, "with an 'e'?" (most common letter in alphabet and a vowel. and she goes,

"yes! its so stupid that girls spell Lindsey with an 'A'" wow i got lucky.

also, even if i do remember a girls name, i like to pretend i didnt remember and ask them again later to show i wasnt that interested at first. but this prolly works when she is introduced to mult people at once.

Same for me dude, people laugh but it is a real problem: I just don't care much about what girls have to say.

Anyway though, when she agrees to give you her number, just hand her your phone. Then she will put her name and number in for you. Easy

Once I took a girl around the bar and introduced her to every single person I knew in there under the guise of mingling because I could never hear her fucking name when she introduced herself. I'm so awful about this, but I've thought of a few ways around it. One is what I've already written here. Another is the cell phone thing. I ask what they want to be saved as in my phone "because some people have little names for themselves." If all else fails, ask your buddies if they caught the name.

It has happened to me a lot of times and not just during pickup. So one way to know the name is to ask how they spell their name when you are saving their number.

I used to have this issue as well, but the crafty ways around it have already been told, one other thing is to associate their name with something else best using an object although I also use adjectives. Um.... just trying to think what else I do...hmmz righteo

You can also repeat their name a few times in your head and also use (not excessively) it during conversation not only does it imprint into your memory people respond more positively to others when their name is used when socialising.

as soon as you get an IOI and you dont remember her name thats a great time to say, "wait what is your name again?" its basically saying you didnt really grab my attn when i first met you but now i care cuz we are hitting it off.
