so i just found out that she still had a bf when i met her, but broke up right when we first went out. she had been weird and flaky the last few days and finally confessed that this is the reason and that she is confused and "didn't want to lead me on"

so my question is how do i handle this so she decides to stick with me rather than go back with the ex?
it seems like i'm winning the battle, but he has 1 big advantage - he is her roommate, and thus can see her all the time.

You guys are prob right. I'm considering breaking it off. The way I see it I'm in an AFC position right now where I'm waiting for her to choose, but if I end it I regain the power. If she wants me she'll have to be completely over the ex and if not, oh well fuck her I can probably do better anyway.

If anyone thinks this is a stupid move and wants to post an argument against it, do it quickly because I'm going to pull the trigger on this very soon. Don't want her beating me to it :twisted:

just think about it long and hard... you should not brake it up because its "afc".. but if that is what you really want.. then do it.. think about it a day or two and take your decision...

Ouch dude, its like looking into a less attractive mirror :P.

I had a relationship go sour for this reason! Chick had 4yrs of baggage with her ex (hence the rule, look out for chicks with baggage).

Once she says she is confused, its over man. Best to cut your losses and move on. It will be hard because she will be back with the ex in 1 day, but you will have to move on.

The above post by Slickness is the best advice so far in my opinion. Clozer has an excellent line he uses for freezing a girl out that he posted in another thread. Here it is:

This is geared more toward flakes but I think it can be modified a little to effectively suit your situation.

Yar same thing really 'give' her back to him, just make it so she understands that she is getting the consolation prize and sure as a bear shits in the wood she will be after you. Wait...she's confused about her ex......and she's still living with him?! AND you just found all this out?
