Okay, need an opinion on a transition to the Divorce Opener while there's still momentum..

so I've been talkin a bit with this HB on her wall, and i negged her a bit about beeing in on a Friday night and she replied/qualified? with 'bla bla bla.. stop accusing me ;p' (hopefully the translation is correct)

So I was thinking of a 'transition' line to the divorce opener (in a private message).

How does this sound

Subject: Delicate matter.. You can't blame me

'You cant blame me am accusing you, but no need to get angry, I thought we passed that stage after our imaginary marriage and divorce' and then continue with the rest of the opener..

Thanks alot in advance..

I don't think you need much of a transition at all mate.

Subject: I Get The Pets

"I thought we were getting along great...but now that you had to point fingers on who's accusing who...I guess we'll just have to get a divorce. We had a great run... *and continue on with divorce routine*

Personally I prefer to never say "imaginary"...not even when I've never met the girl before. She knows you weren't married...but if you don't say it I think it makes her play along more. Also...depending on the girl...make sure you get the thing she WOULD want in an actual divorce (pets, money, vacation home in Hawaii, etc)

ditto.. that was my main sticking point actually.. pointing out the imaginary or not.. altho i was thinking not using 'imaginary' may come off really weird..

altho I like you're reply.. much smoother

I'm going to have to look through my archives of good lines... I had this one opener I used on POf (a divorce type opener). About 95% of the people responded and most of which were positive, my only problem was following it up from there. I felt that opening with it was best because then you're already in your own private reality...

Personally I'd just say, "that's it! We're getting a divorce, you get the dog i'm taking the summer home in Miami". Like I said though, my trouble was transitioning to the rapport phase... which is important if you're going to get her to feel comfortable enough to meet you (but idk if you already know her and have some rapport).
