It all starts with your personal style, and there are long, deliberate ways to formulate your wardrobe. However, if you want a shortcut, just think about stores with styles you like. Then, if you don't buy them outright, take a look at the ensembles they're putting on their displays. It might not be cutting edge, but you'll never look the slouch. After a while, you'll get the hang of it on your own.

As for the pics, I think that second shirt is too big on you. Always go for a snug fit when you can. A lot of brands (e.g., Banana Republic, Express) have shirts with 3% lycra to give a more athletic cut. Also, if you're doing a standard solid button down with jeans, get a blazer if you have one. A blazer over jeans is instant style.

I didn't notice that it was quite so baggy at first, but Classic is right, that shirt is too big for you. I think it would look good with a slight bit of hang to it, its a good look on you, but snug never fails either. I think you've got some decent style going on, but I would get some rings and a couple necklaces for different outfits. The hair looks good and the watch is nice. The rolled up sleeves look is good with some outfits and I like it in the second pic. What type of shoes do you wear? We recommend staying away from sneakers unless you are wearing something a little more sporty. I like to wear beige airwalks as they fit in in almost any situation and go with pretty much anything.

I would also say, when it comes to button down shirts, a little bit more snug of a fit could do you well. I like to leave several buttons unbuttoned on them (top 4 or so) and wear the sirt one size smaller with rolled sleeves if I'm going to wear it with jeans, wearing the shirt that way will make your chest, arms, and shoulders look bigger, and your waist look smaller.

Also I like color and patterns. Bright colors stand out, stripes can make you look bigger (horizontal) or can slim (vertical).

Also I really like to varie my still to clash with the "norm" of the setting I'm sarging in. EG. I always wear dress shirt and polished shoes to college bars/clubs/hangouts.

As far as the peacocking items, I'll be honest I need alot of work there myself, but hopefully others will chime in with usefull advice.

Lastly I say if someones doesn't think your gayat least once a month your probably want to push the envelope a bit more.

Careful about hanging around gay bars (sometimes great places to sarge if that club attracts a decent number of straight women they typically let their guard down because they feel safe there), or gay guys in general. I went out last weekend and a guy that one of my roomates works with is gay and he hit on me a bit even though I said I was straight and coming out of the club I had a mob of gay guys trying to unbutton my shirt because I was dressed so well....

Oh yeah, lol theres no way you'd get me in a gay bar... I get hit on to often for comfort as it is. It's worth it though, because the ladies love it just as much (if not more)

this is xfman's website, he has some good tips here, about clothing and other stuff, i suggest you check it out. and just keep your eyes open for a bit and see what other people are wearing.

my personal suggestion is to grow your hair out, and lose the cigs. (that last one might be a tall order... but its for your own good, now and the rest of life.)

Dark red shirt, black trousers and a silver neck chain would really suit you.
Also grow out the hair a bit and go for something with bangs intended..think something like that: http://www.menshairstyles.net/v/celebri ... 1.jpg.html
Except less messy and with a more central parting.

i like the white shirt (you work with colars) but as every one said a little more snug... you would look good slightly mod, black jeans, collared shirt with nice silk tie not done up all the way...

try and dress classy without overdoing it. try almost wearing suits but dressing them down with jeans instead of pants, nice leather jacket or comfy shoes. As long as you color coordinate you can basically dress down a suit to make you look classy, wealthy and trendy.

i think i'm fairly fashion savy but please i'm always looking for constructive criticism.

Thanks for the input. I have a friend who is gay (hes the straightest sounding gay guy youll ever meet) he let me pick through his closest the other night and we hit the local bar scene. Ive now came to the conclusion that his closet is the "holly grail" of clothes to atract women. He complains about it, its really funny to see how frustrated he gets. And now hes thinking about wearing biker clothes LOL! Ill grow the hair a bit. As far as smoking goes... it sucks but its so hard to quit. Thanks again
