I was just wondering: What are some really good hobbies or things that I can do to keep my brain occupied and build my intelligence? Or maybe some good hobbies that will not be totally wasteful of my time.

An addicting hobby of mine would be video games. I doubt that Call of Duty will build my brain power more though. I stopped playing some videogames recently because I realized that they were taking up a huge majority of my time.

I am looking to get into something new, like martial arts. I am not looking for a hobby like stamp collecting, but I am looking for something semi-convenient and very entertaining.

Reading is good, but I generally can only concentrate on a book for around 2 hours, when I have about 5 hours to kill haha

Always a good suggestion though!

Dude reading is the best way to kill some time. It makes you smarter, and in the long run you will also be able to concentrate more. And another big pluss is that you will have lots of new things to talk about.

And the reason you cant fokus on readin for more then two hours is because of your addiction to video games, your brain is just used to be stimulated all the time with fast action (i was also a video game junkie before).

So just start to read but when you feel that you cant concentrate annymore, just go and something else for a litle while. And then come back and read more.

Take up something like going to the gym
Exercise will help concentration, if you go to the gym for 2 hours and then read for 3, there's your 5 hours killed, and it never hurts to be in better shape :)

Alternatively, you could pick up the guitar? lot's of girls like a guy who can play the guitar well :)

Yeah I do boxing, so going to the gym or something like that is very good and would be good for stimulating your brain and keeping you healthy and energised much more than any video games will.

I also agree with guitar as you do have to spend time learning songs, certain aspects of theory, etc that you may find challenging.

Any hobby in my opinion that attracts you will help build intelligence because of your interest in it.

My hobbies are going to the gym 3 times a week, playing football (soccer), and reading nowa days since getting into PUA, and I feel it has built me up all round because of my interest in every criteria.

Not sure how "intelligent" you want to go. I was into Rubik's Cubes for a long time and it became easy to open to girls on the train or at a mall if they see you solve it quickly.

For less nerdy alternatives, any martial arts is a great idea. It keeps you athletic, well-disciplined, and gives you an edge if you need to use self-defense.

Tae Kwon do is the most popular these days - it's a highly kick-oriented art that focuses on clean snapping motions and long-range fights. Really increases your flexibility and agility.

Muay Thai is practical for close-range fighting, using knees, elbows, and shins to nail opponents in clenches. It's a very fight-fire-against-fire philosophy and works well for street fights.

Other examples exist - just google =)

Other ideas: juggling, fire poi, breakdancing, golf, etc.

Try djing, it's a blast. Challenging, rewarding, and gets the girls. Plus at parties you'll be the center of attention the entire night.

martial arts would be good. try jeet kun do ( bruce lee fighting style ) not only that it will teach you how to defend yourself it will also teach you flexibility :D.

but if martial arts isnt your cup of tea then i would go for guitar, drums, piano music
not only it is productive it can also be a weapon :D

I just joined the gym and the difference in how confident and good you feel about spending your time doing something productive is amazing. Id say something physical.
