I was curious if anyone has tried this. For those who haven't what is your take on this. Anyone who is new to the game please go test this out first, it's not for the weak. It's advanced shit.

Tried it in the middle of the day in an outdoor dining area next to the girls' dorm at the college in my hometown. First time I think I blew a fuse in her brain because she had nothing to say and had this "I just stuck a fork in an electric socket" look on her face. The second wanted to give me her number since she had her boyfriend grabbing them something to eat but she saw him coming before she could. The third time was when I hit paydirt. She said "no" off the rip but wanted to talk about how I could just out and ask a girl that. I told her I wasn't in town for long so there wasn't much point in bullshitting around. She said she had to go grab a textbook for her next class and I could walk her back to her room. "It's okay, I don't think you're easy" was my response. In three minutes we were up in her room and I brutalized her. I would have liked to hear the questions she got when she showed up for her Psych class with a slight limp. It's a lot easier to not break frame than you'd think, but I also love acting.

Just to clear up any potential misconceptions, "Shock and Awe" and the "Apocalypse Opener" are two different techniques by Ciaran.

Shock and Awe is the technique involving giving very direct SOIs while blaming her for being hot at the same time.

The Apocalypse Opener is the actual opener discussed in the article.

Shock and Awe works well if you're a wordsmith and I discovered that it doesn't even really need to be an approach. You can transition in and out of it since the very nature of the routine is dedicated to having difficulty restraining yourself, regaining control, and then gushing over her again. Don't get too hung up on the complimentary part like I initially did and you should be gold. Remember, it's her fault you're acting like an idiot if you want it to work. I found it to be a great way to amp up playfulness but it isn't going to get you any closes. Still, that playfulness lets you transition to a close as long as you handle it right and don't give her whiplash with "OH MY GOD YOU'RE THE BOMB DIGGITY WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME, but seriously..."

It's a big deal because so many people involved in pickup are all about indirect game and linear outlines and all sorts of other bullshit. This is a way to skip all that and just ask, as Chris Rock said in a routine once, "how 'bout some dick?"

Think about it: Most guys get into this and the first thing they want to know is how to approach, or what magic line they can use. This is about as close as it gets to a magic line as long as you don't break frame. It doesn't teach you how to build rapport or make emotional connections but some guys just want to get laid. I am one of those guys, so I tried it out.

There is no magic line, just get out, surround yourself with people who are interested in meeting new chicks and improve.

You can't seriously claim that this will work on no one because of your location, any more than someone could claim it will work on EVERY woman because of their location.

It works on some girls, if you deliver it right. I'm pretty sure if you do it right, you will at least be able to use it as a basic opener and the girls will just think you're funny and at least continue talking to you.

Here's my question.

If she says 'no' then you say 'OK' then how the fuck do you carry out a conversation casually after being shot down. Obviously keep your cool but like what else can you say after that? lol

I would probably ask why not in a playful way and take it from there but what would you guys do?

No, don't ask why not. The entire concept is based around your frame being so strong that you have no problem propositioning a woman in your third sentence speaking to her and treating the subsequent rejection (because you will get a yes from maybe 5% of women, tops) like it's no big deal. It's being Joe Cool to the max, except you're not a beagle wearing sunglasses.

EDIT: As for what to talk about after being shot down, it can be anything as long as you remain calm and congruent. Watch some Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's handy to learn how to talk about minutia for times like this. In fact, talking about trivial shit is even better because it's the opposite of the super-heavy opener. Imagine her mind trying to wrap itself around this. "This dude just straight asked me if I wanted to sleep with him and now he's talking about the merits of different wallpaper colors? Who is this guy?"

This is beyond awesome. Its exactly the type of super direct these Vegas club girls eat up like candy. I imagine it would work anywhere though- women are women, anywhere you go.
