Hi all,
hopefully some of you will have walked a similar path to the one which I am just about to walk down.... basically, I've got bored of indirect openers - i think they're crap and don't convey the message across early enough - asking someone whether they'd date a guy called herman or something similar doesnt do it for me so I want to go completely direct!

The thing is setting myself this challenge (and challenges of only opening girls I'm really into and doing it sober) has brought on a massive new bout of AA! I feel like a beginner again!!

Have other people noticed a similar issue when changing methods to more direct?
I'm literally now looking to only open with completely honest statements - if I think a girl is hot - I'm just gonna rock right on up and tell her... Mode one style!

Any advice?

Thats funny because I feel almost no approach anxiety when I go direct, being because it's honest straight forward stuff your throwing out there for her to catch onto and start up a conversation. It's super easy, no routines, no stupid tricks. Though, stay away from comments like "your hot" Instead say "I like your style" or "you are cute as hell, whats your name?" this is much more likely to get her to stop and think about having a conversation with you. Though when going direct it's almost more important to focus your energy on your body language, tone of speech, etc to make sure you come across as appealing. Always have something to follow up your statement, introducing yourself is the easiest and probably best route to go. No one likes talking to a stranger. Give it a shot. Cheers!

Good advice! I think the main reason also is because indirect is when you're not completely being yourself, and direct is, and I've come from a shy place where I constantly hide my feelings...

It's glaringly obvious how successful it is going direct as well!!
