Stacking until close vs. roaming between sets?

AOL: Last+Singularity
1 - Working with a girl nonstop, stacking, stacking, until I get some sort of response from her (k-close, number-close, etc)

Or

2 - Roaming between sets, starting an approach with a girl, leaving her, opening other sets, and then returning later on?

I feel that #1 might make me seem too needy or risks boring her. But I feel that #2 puts me at a high risk of losing her. Quite a few times where, when I returned, my first set had moved to a different floor or left the bar entirely.

Thoughts? Thanks!
