Yes this is more comon place than you think, i messaged & spoken to allot of women and most are very afc, asking lame questions... and not giving you an easy ride with loads to work with (although this last bit mostly makes it more fun , this is where you need to be creative, she gives you nothing visually to work with so you need to change topic sutterly, possibly related to the conversation, maybe something like "omg the ultimate pof wirdo just messaged me today and they sent me the worst chatup line in history 'hey your hot'... its anoying isnt it ? do you get this aswell ?"

the example i gave above needs hardcore polishing, but you should get the general idea.
