So this girl I was gaming came out and said the dreaded "I have a boyfriend". I had strong IOIs before this such as strong flirtatious eye contact, playful hitting, unnecessary touching and qualifying herself to me.

She then came out with this line and I ignored it and carried on talking about something else. However I did manage to number close this girl and she still seemed interested. She wasn't shit testing me because she actually does have a boyfriend.

Any advice on how to proceed from here? She is in my college class just in case you think it was a one off and will not see again. She is there everyday lol so what do I do?

Sounds very good so far.
i curious about why she mentioned her boyfriend. maybe she felt very attracted and hoped you would cut the thread. thankfully, you didn't.

i think you should just go about doing the same things you have already done. seems to work.

created attraction. now focus on kino, and comfort.

good luck.

Mike.

The way that I have always dealt with that response is "That doesn't mean we can't be friends! (:"

There are several ways to word it, but when you say something like that... It usually makes her lower her guard a little, making it easier to continue talking and building up a relationship.

I've used it countless times before with no fails.

to me it seems there is no guard up. to me it seems that she is interested and is just programmed to mention her boyfriend. i doubt it if she mentions him ever again.

Tell us what happened :)

Good luck

Mike

What I always do in the situation is say, cool I have a girlfriend!
With this line you will disarm/open her up to conversation about her boyfriend through which (this is really douchy!!) you can systematically rip apart her boyfriends character, or her resistance to doing anything while hiding behind the lie/fact that you have a GF. Always worked for me but I always felt bad after.

When they tell this phrase I say something like this
"I know you only for a few minutes and you are telling me your problems. This way I think we just can be friends"
or
"Great I've got a dog we can take them for a walk together some other time"

But I've read some good responses too. Now how to move on? Just continue your game. I doubt it too that she will ever mention her boyfriend again. Good luck mate! ;)

I like to respond with something among the lines of "Does that mean you can't talk to other guys? He seems to keep you on a pretty short leash." That may make her qualify and feel like she has to prove you wrong.

From here on, I would just continue my game as if nothing had happened. You don't know about her relationship, and making assumptions is always a bad idea. If she actually cares about her BF, she will eventually put a stop to it. If not, it's a decision she made.
