Okay so I found this girl on POF website and got her number the other day. We still

haven't met. I am kind of busy with finding a new job and preparing for college. I

have been texting her a little bit so far I am looking for criticism/suggestions on what I should do now.

Okay so that is everything thus far. What should my next text be? Date ideas? Critique/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also she lives in a town an hour drive away from me... I have a car. She has a car. I don't mind driving that far, but don't want to seem desperate. Thanks guys.

feels to me like you're asking too many questions. It seems like an interview. She's bored.

The stalker line was good, and it pretty much saved the interaction, but I think it may be too early to ask for a meetup.

Your next text should be something interesting, not just another question like "so what did you have for lunch?" tell a little story, or a fun fact, or something related to something in her profile maybe. make it fun (like the stalker line, that was fun).

it's hard to judge. I don't know what she is like, or you are like, or your POF interactions have been before the texting. maybe you are really good looking or she seems lonely and you could push hard. maybe not.

This interaction is jacked. You bored her to death with all our questions. I can tell that you've been getting those questions from somewhere and they seem unnatural and random. Learn to make statements instead of asking questions and for god's sake, make them fun.

I just sent this:

HB: Ok I wont. You need all the beauty sleep you can get. I figured it was you. My crazy ex-husband. (Me being her ex hubby is part of an inside joke)

ok so that makes a little more sense. I can see why she is still around. it sounds like there was some fun POF messaging, and she is probably attracted to you physically.

so, to get at what Hex was saying. the questions are all over the place and have no grounding. so if you want to ask if she was bored say something like "i was over in [her area] running an errand, and man was that place was BORING. nothing is happening over there. you must be bored out of your mind?" or "i was out running errands and i saw this crazy lady hanging out in her car with binoculars . that was you wasn't it? i didn't know you were stalking more than one guy!" questions should be fun and interesting (those were just examples off the fly, you should make them up appropriate to the situation). and then stick on the subject, or subtly shift it. don't just fly into random questions about what she does in spare time or something.

and speaking of bored, she told you she was bored...that is a nice sign that she is looking for something to do...with you!

your last text was good. I would strike soon, while the iron is hot. you'll have to feel out the situation but in the near future you could say something like "so my giant fingers are getting sore from all this texting. maybe we should just meet up to discuss the restraining order. but only if you promise not to cut off a lock of my hair for your shrine at home" (that might be too much). OR send a tester text to make sure she is home and at her phone, then just call her out of the blue and ask her out. if she doesn't pick up, well then take two steps back.
