I'm not talking about watching wedding shows and Sex and the city, but there are a number of shows that I've noticed can give you a reason to invite a woman over, or that can give you some common ground to talk about on a date or online.

Lost:
The big one, although it's not as good now that its run is over. I ask who their favorite character is and it gives a nice neg opportunity as well as way to do a cold read... i.e. (Sawyer) so you're attracted to danger... (Sayid) backing away... not into torture.

Dexter:
I'm actually going as Dexter for Halloween. Women LOVE dexter.

True Blood:
Never watched it, but women apparently love it because it's basically vampire porn. Even though it doesn't really appeal to me it's very sexual and could open some doors conversation wise.

I think series like Friends and How I met your Mother are awesome to watch with girls, with anyone. Gets them laughing, etc.

Grey's Anatomy. I remember this one time when I was with another guy and a girl, and the girl mentioned something about it, and he was like, "oh yeah I watch that... I've got 3 sisters" (his justification I guess). They ended up talking about it quite a lot (which I couldn't take part in) and in the end he bought the new season and they watched it together....

I've also met quite a few girls that like Dexter. Never understood why.
