And how exactly do you go about asking them? This is something I've fucked up a bit before, either asked too soon and seemed desperate, waited too long trying to 'play it cool' and lost the girl to another guy, or just sounded like a 12 year old. Could anybody give me any tips?
There's a girl I met today, spent the whole day with her, I've chatted to her on the phone pretty much everyday for a couple of weeks, she's really into me, I really like her, and I would happily get into a relationship with her. As I said above I want to know when would be the best time to close the deal?
P.S. I'm 19, so dealing with young girls like 16-20 (also from England, 16 is legal before anybody says anything otherwise)

You follow the pick up rule, building enough attraction, comfort, and seduction, until the point you feel like you reach those levels of real couples. You know you reach that when you go out with her, holding her hand, kissing her and all the stuff couples do together. Remember do not say something like "please be my girlfriend" at any point.
When you do all those things right you will never have to ask her to be your girlfriend, she will automatically take it that she is your girlfriend when she really feel attached to you. If you want to introduce her to your friend, just say she is your girlfriend, she wont have a problem with it.
Being in a relationship is a mental and physical commitment, it is not a vow or something that you have to say out loud.
Cheers,
PS: because of this my girlfriend and i do not have a specific anniversary date, we just take our first date and use that instead.
