I already have made more friends than at my high school and it is a social group that includes girls (most of them ugly but there are one or two good looking ones.) Anyways, I am easily the quietest male of the five males of the social group. This already has been pointed out but they definitely don't look down on it. They respect me and want to hear me speak, it is just I am not good with conversation or getting a word into a huge conversation with about 20 people. Also, when I do say something, a quarter of the time, nobody hears it or responds to it. My question is: How do I become louder, more talkative, and dominant. What has worked for you and how can I easily transition from quiet to loud? I am taking public speaking this semester so would that help me in any way?

Ok if you're in a loud bar or club, you can never be too loud! Just let your voice fully project itself and don't worry about being too loud. Women respond better the louder you speak.
It's hard to explain but what you want to do is imagine that you can see your voice leaving your mouth. When you talk quietly your voice doesn't project very far so people will find it hard to hear you. But if you take a deep breath so that you fill your stomach with air and talk as you exhale, your voice will naturally be louder and project further.
You don't even have to shout (that stresses your vocal chords), just concentrate on projecting your voice as far as you want it to go. You should imagine your voice projecting well beyond the person that is the farthest away from you so that everyone can hear you.
2. On being more talkative
This is something that I also need to work on, especially in large groups but again I'd say be loud so that everyone can hear you. If you talk too quietly most people will usually ignore you because it takes too much effort to listen to what you're saying. A loud voice naturally commands people's attention. Also believe in yourself and the value you bring to any group that you speak to. I never used to speak much in groups because I didn't think I could contribute much but just say what you're thinking and try not to care what people might think about you. Also spread eye contact around the group evenly, 3-5 seconds towards each person in a group is usually about right.
3. On being dominant.
The easiest way you can do this is by talking loud. Also don't take things too seriously. Guy's who are dominant are chilled out, loud and having fun. Guys who are not dominant are very serious (this acts as a kind of front to make themselves appear dominant), quiet and are usually not having that much fun.
I'm still working on being more talkative in large groups but these things have personally helped me out.

It's only a matter of decision, YOU have to decide that you speak loud and show yourself through your voice.
I also agree with level69 about breathing from your stomach. I do it every time I feel I'm not loud enough, and it helps.
