So I met this hb 8.5 at IKEA the other day. I saw that she had a bunch of boxes that she needed help loading her car with so I offered to help. Afterwards, I got her number. Anyways, the next day comes and she texts me "Hey it was nice to meet you and sorry for not texting you last night, I was super excited to put some furniture together.

I responded:

"Thats alright... see its too bad that the cute guy you met from Ikea wasnt there to help you build it. Were you able to put everything together?"

She responded:

"Haha well, I managed picing the tables, a chair, and part of a dresser (I need to get a hammer lol but the desk I might be giving up on."


I responded:

"Hmm sounds like you need help from a guy that is good with his hand and I happen to know of one that was at Ikea yesterday "

She responded:

"let me guess an Ikea staff member lol jk"

My response (definitely should have sent something differently":

"Haha: well Ill make ya a deal. Ill send the guy that was at ikea yesterday to help you out if you take him out to dinner "

I got no response after that and I realized I probably should have had more rapport going before I jumped into it. This was all last night and neither one of us have texted since then. How do I recover?

I was thinking of sending something like : "Ouch. No response. Don't take it too seriously, I had a heck of a time getting my desk assembled. It helps if they drill the holes before I take it home..."

you qualified yourself to her and came off as needy/desperate and to available.

Dont say shit like " Why dont i send the cute guy from blah blah to help you do this" when you talk to a chick...it will back fire.

Let her think and tell you that you're sexy, dont say youre sexy show it in the way you talk/text.

Imagine someone sending 10 messages to you saying
Im funny
Im funny
Im funny over and over, you wont think theyre funny

When you text a chick, play it cool dont try hard or try to convince her. If you want to take her somewhere or meet her somewhere give her the option "im going to this place tonight, you should come we will have a good time"

Too much chatting back and forth. Comes off cowardly.

Its much better to cut the crap and just ask her to grab a drink. After her first text you should of said: "Thats alright, as long as you're behaving yourself with that furniture" so something like that.

Then after she responds to that say: "You know what? Lets grab a drink sometime this week. What do you say?"

Its better to just get to the point. Women are not stupid.. they know what you want so why bullshit? If she rejects you now you can move on without wasting time barking up the wrong tree.
