So I was going shopping at the mall with some friends, and we went into this shoe store and I saw this cute blond who was the only sales lady there. She's also a student at my school. I'll refer to her as HB-shoes.

I approached her with an opinion opener and then I went direct because I didn't have lots of time. My friends (both male and female) were rushing me, so I went direct on her and got her number and told her that I wanna take her to coffee some time. The whole interaction was about 5 mins long.

I opened her on text with my cool/funny text to establish non-neediness and some cool vibe. So it's been more than a week now, I called her once but no answer, I left a voicemail, she never called back. Then I texted her later on and she answered. Today I went with the dream routine on texting to establish a sexual vibe and she was like lol'ing all the way. Then I dared her in a challenge (to ask her out), but she never replied (she usually replies very fast). So I sent her this text:

Me: Never mind, guess u're not up for the challenge yet. I don't understand why, I thought u were cool... :s

Her reply: I am cool umm I jus am not really into u like that to be honest

So I haven't responded to her text above yet, and I cannot think of a reason besides my looks or race that made her reply that way. How should I respond to this? Or should I just quit and go find other fish in the sea? Thanks, guys!

There could be a million reasons that shes not into you. You gave it what 5 minutes? Not enough to build comfort and shit. Getting a number is easy, to go further requires more work.

Yes race and looks are important too, just like everything is important but it is not that important. Some girls have issues with race, fuck them, they arent the ones you wanna be with anyway. Some have issues with looks, fuck them too.

If you wanna get better at this stop focusing on stuff you cant change and start focusing on what you can improve!

And remember, put more effort into your initial approach. A 5 minute convo usually doesn't give you enough time to build sufficient attraction/comfort.
