I sent a message to this girl on a dating site and it looked like this: Hi I think you look like a really nice person, I would like to meet you blah blah, theres my number *** *** ****

Today, I get a txt: Hey its Sara, I've delete my account (on the dating site) and I just wanted to say HI!

It might be weird, but I really dont know what to respond. I dont know anything about the girl and I want to build attraction within the next 2-3 sms.

I'm leaving my town in 3 weeks, so I dont want any long term relationship

Ok this is what I've done: (all sms)

Her: Hey, Its Sara from the dating site and I wanted to say Hi!

Me: Hey Sara, I think you have the wrong number or somebody playing with you. I will say Hi! to but I dont think my wife is going to be happy if she learn that I'm chatting with another woman. We can still talk if you want, it's not going very well between me and my wife, what you think about it?

I will send her another message in like 30 minutes telling her its a joke. Its showing my humor and I would like to see his WTF??? face when she read the message.

Before I read that it was a joke, I was literally screaming out loud. But yeah, thats a little over the top for your second ever text message. I know this is a common sticking point but just keep the conversation casual and dont do anything over the top or you'll scare her away.

Before you really build any kind of attraction, she needs to be comfortable at some level with you and what you sent was...borderline creepy.

I wouldn't say necessarily creepy, just very risky because you don't know what kind of person you're dealing with and specifically their sense of humour. Since she's already being open and friendly, I would play it safe initially.
