It's funny how on some topics you can clearly tell the teenagers from the older... gentlemen? The OP had me until after the obnoxious laughter. When a girl you care about has cheated on you, the proper response is rage. Contrary to popular belief, you are allowed to have emotions; you are allowed to show them. You are not allowed to let your negative emotions guide your actions. That's what makes you an adult. I think it's totally acceptable to show your disgust for what she's DONE.

I think silently leaving with dignity is tantamount to that guy that watched his girlfriend cheat on him from the doorway and let the guy finish railing her without interrupting. We all instinctively know this is the wrong answer. The sex and her guilt alone just aren't punishment enough. Now, I don't think anybody has mentioned this, but if she truly cared about you and it was a one time mistake, she would not tell you. She would swallow that guilt instead of burdening you with the hurt and try to appreciate you like nothing happened. That's a fitting punishment for everyone who cheats; knowing they are never as good as their partner sees them.

By far the best thread I've ever read. Not because of the routine, because we can all tell this guy is a spoiled child who is way too new to posting anywhere in this forum.

I would never go back to this girl, she cheated and there is no reason for it. I truely do not feel alcohol or any other substance short of roofies can make this situation right.

This "routine" is ridiculous and you have a lot of work to do if you want to be successful with women.

Fin if I cheated on my gf I would not tell her. Thats selfish, the easy way out. In reality, keeping the secret from some1 you want to tell everything to, is the tougher aspect. There's no reason both of us should have to endure that disappointment, I should be the bigger man and have to deal with it on my own.

Fin i agree with you.. In the end the only person who has to look in the mirror is yourself.. Now if i was him and i knew my girl cheated on me. I would break it off before she ever has a chance to bring it up to me. I would sit her down right away and be like i know what you did, its pretty disrespectful and i hope you enjoy the rest of your life knowing u fucked up and walk out. its as easy as that. But if i never knew about it.. and the girl decided not telling me was the best course.. yeah she is going to have to live with knowing that she cheated, but then again that could also mean she might do it again.. its an interesting subject. unfortunately human emotion is ridiculous and there is no right or wrong answer to this. its always going to be based on the person. There is no routine for this, and there never will be. some guys will forgive the girl but not forget, some guys will walk away, and then some guys will throw a hissy fit justifying what the girl did. But when all the chips are laid on the floor, she will have to deal with what she did on her own, and trust me when i say it cheating on someone whether you get caught or tell the person makes you feel so retardedly insignificant and small.. its the worst pain in the world knowing you ruined a perfectly good relationship by being so selfish as to not have restraint. drunk or not there are no excuses.

Seriously man, I was in a similar situation where I had a girl living with me for TWO fuckin years.... She cheated on me, IN MY OWN BED. I told her I wanted to still be friends and we could still be friends, now she fuckin calls me all the time crying telling me I was the one blah blah blah, but I just tell her "I'm sorry but you really lost all credibility when you did what you've done.... I am not angry I just get sick of the thought of us ever being together." lol She even told me one time "You're the only guy I think I could stay faithful to" after I said something along those lines. LMAO Yeah right fuckin whore.

You know what, I don't give a fuck if it's programmed for women to be deceitful whores or not, we are supposed to be a civilized society, and in this civilized society, being a whore is very frowned upon, so if they don't want to be treated as a non civilized human, maybe they should fucking control themselves and act like one instead of acting like a fuckin chimp. If a guy beats somebody up, which is programmed in men to do, they go to jail. But if a woman does what a woman does and sleeps around, they get almost no consequences, they LIKE the drama and that's why you can't freak out on her dude.
