This is an ESP routine I'm using in a lot of sets when it comes to topics like cold reading, magic, EPS stuff etc...

PUA: Do you believe in ESP?
HB: Yes/no/hm dunno
PUA: I'll show you something. Just tell me the result of the following calculations.
HB: Ok
PUA: 7+9, 9-4, 15+6, 27-4, 4+4...now think of a tool...and of a colour. Don't tell me, just imagine. Ok, now look into my eyes...you're thinking of a red hammer!

for some fucking reason it works like 70% (a statistic says 98% of people say red hammer but it's not that frequently I guess)

HB: WTF, how did you know?
PUA: (whispering in her ear) That's my secret, but maybe one day I'll tell you.

if she got a different colour:
PUA: Wow, this is interesting, almost everybody says red! You seem to have an interesting personality (stacking next routine, story...)

if she got a different tool:
PUA: Haha, I knew it. You're not that kinda do-it-yourself-girl, aren't you? Otherwise do-it-yourselfers always pick the hammer. Who has to do all the work for you? Your daddy or your boyfriend? (screening whether she has a boyfriend)

if she got a different tool and colour:
PUA: Wow, this is interesting, did you know that 98% say red hammer? You seem to be different from others/have an interesting personality...


Any other contingency plans what to say if she doesn't think of a red hammer?

Do the numbers actually matter?

they don't! it's just a way to make a girl think simple... meaning.. if you do it first, it's more likely that the girl sticks to the first thing she thought of and doesn't change her choice! just ask any random, very simple question so she starts to think simple!

interestingly enough the hammer exercise is used in a similar examination used to test for psychopathic tendencies

How would following up with Mystery's ESP go down? Or even opening with that and then doing this. And then the Cube. The girl would think you are a like a brain ninja. Or is that to much?

Hm, in the past I used ESPs more often but by the time I realised that I shouldn't be building my game on such routines. They're sure nice but there are lots of other more powerful techniques.
If you use ESP routines all the time the girls start asking you whether you're a magician or psychologist. And well, in fact that's not my identity, so I try to focus on other material...(though I like talking about psychology - can be a nice routine if the girl's interested)
I would never use the cube right away after opening! It's such a powerful routine so I only use it in comfort stage!

Is there any sort of rational/logical/scientific evidence why a girl would say 'red hammer!' after hearing a sequence of numbers? Am I the only one who finds this vague?

Vuvuzela: It is not about the numbers.

The numbers are (as explained above) just to get the girl in a "simple" state of mind.
That she does not question herself why she thinks about a hammer and the colour red. That she just sticks with the very first thing that pops into her head.

Therefore the numbers don't matter at all in this "ESP Trick" but the suggestion given after the numbers: "..now think of a tool...and of a colour."

The colour red is obviously the colour a girl will pick first.
Next the hammer; Most girls do not know very much about do-it-your-self stuff.
So when she thinks about that, she imagines someone else who is holding a tool.

And guess what.. Most likely he or she is holding;

A Hammer!
