Ok long story short, a girl at work and I are flirting a lot. Other coworkers even mention the sparks and that it's on. I want to invite her out, but the past two times, she's flaked. To my novice eyes it looks like the cat and mouse game is up, and she feels like she can catch me. How can I stay "hard to get" and still invite her out?

It might be easiest if you invite a bunch of people to go out after work. Then tell her that you and some other people from work are going to check out _________ after work tomorrow so she should come. Your job will be to isolate her when you guys get there.

Sometimes I get tired of creating excuses to invite girls out to. One way is to think of something cool to invite them out to, if they turn you down, ask them what day they're free, and if they still don't give you anything, she's not interested, so forget it.

Otherwise you can just play it cool - seeing as she's at work you see her every day so you don't need to move fast - so you can wait for the next social work function (hopefully they're often enough) and talk to her about going.
