Background Info

This is a field report from a house party I attended back in May. I have just gotten around to writing it.

So I get word one of my good friends is holding a housewarming party. As I'm rolling up, I'm in an awesome state, great frame, feeling really confident. I even have a bit of a routine structure written out and going through my head.

It basically consists of:
Opener
Attraction Routines
Isolate
Comfort Routines
Closing Routines

My plan was to roll in guns-blazing "flash-bang through the door" if you will. Here is how it turned out:

Flash-bang through the door...

My friend introduced me to a 2-set of girls. I did the implant opinion Opener,which went ok, then I did mystery's Coin Snatch routine (improvised using the tab of a beer can), then the best friends test, which got awkward because the girls had just met each other. Kino with both of them was ok, at some point after this they extracted each other to behind this hedge and when they came back and I tried to re-engage, it was full of awkward silences.

I tried to spin one of the girls around in a last-ditch effort to build attraction, but as you might imagine it was super awkward and by then I knew I was blown out of the set.

After that set things really went downhill from there.

AMOG Down!
I end up going downstairs to play some Foosball with some people, one of which is this smokin' hot blond. Unfortunately this kid that was playing Foosball with me (we'll call him "Beans" because this kid looked about like Beans from Even Stevens. 90's anyone?) This kid started by insulting my Foosball skills every time we got scored on. I took the wind out of his sails by saying "If you think I suck so bad, lets see you do better." This wasn't the college level "its cool" insults, these were high school level "You Suck" insults. I shouldn't have been that surprised seeing as how this kid probably had the maturity of a high schooler and looked like one to boot.

Anyways I start running some game on this blond.
Opener ok, coin snatch routine ok.

Then Beans pipes in:

Beans:Hey you know (blonde) has a boyfriend!!
Freedom:*Ignore
Beans:HEY!!!! (BLONDE) HAS A BOYFRIEND!!!
Freedom:Uh huh...yeah sure....whatever *turns away and ignores.

Beans is basically rendered ineffective at this point. However I end up screwing up the routine myself going into the PVC devil routine. The blonde and her friend are non-complient (I don't want to put on a PVC devil outfit!). I tried to follow her around the house as she went to other groups to try and build rapport, but that failed, she left the party, and I was blown out of the set.

The rest of the night was a blur of failed approaches, awkward silences, and girls talking to other guys/girls while not engaging me.

The Good
Good Opener

Party Host:"You came in strong..." on initial set.
btw the party host k+Closed a porn star at the party in about 2 hours tops, so keep that in mind when reading his opinion.

The Bad
There were waaaay too many guys then girls at this party.
Even other high value guys were getting blown out of sets.
Ended up stalling out a bunch.
Lots of awkward silence between routines/hesitation.
Girls were moving fluidly from group to group, didn't know what to do about it.
Reverted back to AFC habit of just building rapport in hopes that rapport alone will enable attraction.

The Questions
1) Since this party, I have gone into more of a stealth game in order to build attraction as opposed to routines. Its worked really well in dance floor settings Can I just talk rapport while using micro escalation and pauses + EC? Will that do the attraction job even in a party setting?

2)Keeping stealth attraction in mind, what, if anything, should I do about awkward pauses?

3) I have noticed at party's women will bounce from group to group. Should you follow your target, or disengage and then re-engage later?

4)What, if anything, should I do about periods of silence between me and my target?

5) In groups, how do I go from being an orbiter, to engaging my target, when it seems I can't get a word in edgewise?

Party game is different from club game. When you're at a party you don't really need to use canned openers or anything like that but you can if you want.

What you want to do at parties is be the LIFE of the party. Start off with talking to as many people and as many sets as possible, just go up to people and say, "Hi I don't know you I'm blah!" and introduce yourself. When you do this start introducing your friends to the new people you met, start introducing the people you met to other people you met. Once everyone has seen you are social, go back to the sets that you liked and game on the girls.

The key at parties is for everyone to know who you are, the more social you are the more attractive.

My favorite openers at parties are; "Hey are you shy? Because we've both been here for 15 minutes and you haven't introduced yourself" or "What's up!"

Thanks, that's good to know. It would also buy me some time to scout out the whole locale. However once that's done and I have chosen my target, can I just start rolling in with micro-escalation like in a club and just go Stealth from there?
