Here is what happened:

I commented on a friend's profile (Liz) via FB and one of her friends saw my response. She told my friend, Liz, she liked and Liz sent me a message via IM lettin me know that she (Deny) was 'crushing on me'. I gave Liz's friend (Deny) a poke and she poked back. i couldnt send her a message so i added her. i was ganna open with the Facebook Poke Method (kudos to Whoopie) but instead of sending her a private message i instead messaged her via FB chat when she was online. Here is was took place:

It was a fine chat. There are some really PUA kind of things you may have done wrong, but if you are genuinely interested in what you talked about, then you did the right thing.

I think that if you are romantically interested in her, then you should have closed with a number or a date.

Fellow PUAs. One of the reasons i hate online gaming is because there is no face to face interaction, no kino tests, no way to smoothly DHVing without typing alot, etc but whatever online sarging is still part of the game. I have had at least three convos with Deni (my target) online since the first post on this topic. I guess her shyness got the better of her the first convo we had. That should have been enough reason to be more talkative (type-ative to be correct) but online sarging isnt my thing. During the convo she says she doesnt have a phone which to most would sound like rejection but not to me. This is not the first time i have had targets turn me down to only give me another way to contact them (FB, e-mail, etc). I got a 'date' close. Here is how the following went.

To those practicing or chick surfing online take note of the details. her IOIs- she showed me her tats and compared me to joseph levitt. My DHVs- the popi story (though it wasnt ment to be a DHV story, i introduced it to create a playful effect).
One thing i noticed that has really helped me out online and in field is this:

When you approach a set, what ever you do talk about what [b]you[/b] wanna talk about, not vice versa. In other words, bring her into your world.
Lastly, always have some DHV pics of yourself on your FB account. Thats how Deni found me; i got a pic of myself running a 5k. Ill keep you guys posted if get a date with her (id call it a day 2 but we have never met up in person).Cheers!

I think your conversation with her is a little dulled well atleaste from a third person's perspective.

It also looked as though you guys were simply just saying "Hi, my name is Bob." She replies "Hi, my name is Susan" etc. Do you know what I mean? Like the feeling wasn't really there? In other words, dry would describe what I mean.

You could intentionally pause sometimes in the conversation to create tension. Tension is at least better than a dry conversation, because it has impact.

It looks as though you were replying too fast to what she says which is good but it is not really helping the quality of the conversation.

Another main reason the conversation is not going as smoothly as it should be is because a poor first impression was created.

You teased her with a conversation opener, and she didn't really add any spice to it.

But other than this, i think a lot of rapport is being made with her. n the conversation is really cute.

The first convo started off a bit dry, then towards the second convo it got more interesting and more rapport were being made.

I also noticed a lot of blocking in the conversation: " Poor conversationalists do not welcome new offers into
their conversation. Instead, they choose to listen to what
some says and then talk about their own idea. This is
called blocking. For example, Bill could mention that he
visited the zoo to see the monkeys, and his friend Ted
might pleasantly nod …then change the subject to talk
about a place he recently visited:
Bill: "…Last Saturday I went to see the new monkey
enclosure at the zoo!"
Ted: "Oh really? I spent last weekend visiting my
parents…"
Instead of talking about Bill or the zoo trip, Ted talks about
himself and so flow will be lost from the conversation.
