Been a while since I last posted on the forum, and I guess the time away hurt my game. Didn't do so well this time. A little long, but bear with me, you might learn what NOT to do.
A while ago, I reconnected with an HB7 who graduated high school a year before I did and she's now transferring to my University. We usually just texted and had a few phone calls, and eventually we came to a level of familiarty where she "
" in almost every text message to me, playful teasing and the like. I told her I was tired one day, and she playfully called me an old man, so on another occasion when she was tired, I returned the favor. We both laughed it up so I decided it was time to go out and told her, we were gonna get back in touch with our inner children, and she was more than happy with that description.
Picked her up the next day at her place and gave her a big hug, to establish some Kino. and took her to my University so she could get her business done, and showed her around the campus, played some Billiards and took her out to lunch. During our conversations, she said that I changed alot since high school and that I became more outgoing (Props to the PUA community). After that, we went to a Dave n Busters, all the games. She beat me in the racecar game, I beat her in Air Hockey, back and forth between all the games there and she was smiling and laughing which made me think things were going smoothly. Light kino, but I didn't escalate.
Afterwards, we went to a local bookstore and began reading a book describing how to handle the most F#(&ed up situations in college. Both of us were laughing and we didn't care if the rest of the bookstore heard us say "Fuck, Damn, Cock,Slut" out loud. At this point she was leaning into me and allowing me to read over her shoulder. A little later we stopped for a frozen yogurt and we talked more and pretty soon the topic turned to sex and her fantasies. She's the type that doesn't want to share (no threesomes) but she likes the occasional drunken lesbo-kiss.
We spent the rest of the evening walking around a nearby park and we stopped by a fountain. After saying she wondered what the water felt like, I casually stepped in, grinned and said "It's kinda cool, maybe too cold for you?" and held out my hands to her. She smiled, back took my hands and stepped in too, but started walking around on her own. I ran the cube routine on her and she kinda liked that
*Side note: She said the Cube was smaller than her, but it was in her hands. This is athe first time I've heard an answer like that. She boasted that she was in control of her own destiny.
After we got out, neither of us had any idea what to do next. So I drove her home and as we talked, at a red light we held eye contact for 3 seconds without speaking, and I was about to move in and kiss her but the light turned green and the car behind us started honking. I drop her off at her place, and we are sitting outside her place and she opened her door, but she was still sitting and talking with me. I'm not too good at reading body language but it looked like she didn't wanna go home just yet. But she just gave me a hug from the passenger seat and as she got out, I heard her quietly say bye and she hesitated before closing the door.
I began to drive off and suddenly I stopped the car, considered everything I saw just a few seconds ago and decided I wasn't going to let this opportunity go, so I backed up the car and got out.
HB7: Hey, What's up?
Me: I forgot something.
HB7: What?
I wanted to try something I've seen Mystery use, so I just asked,
Me: Would you like to kiss me?
HB7:...................I'm sorry.
Me: I didn't say you could, punk. (Tried to say this with a smile, but it didn't diffuse the tension.)
Later she told me that the entire evening felt more like 2 old friends catching rather than a date. She went on to say that she's a little dense and didn't catch on, but I know she was just pulling the "It's not you, it's me" thing. I still tried to save some face by telling her I still had a lot of fun and she shouldn't beat herself up...........Pretty pathetic in my opinion
ANALYSIS
I haven't been a part of the PUA community too long, so I'm just barely above an AFC's level, although this might bring me back down, but I can still detect some of my flaws.
1. WEAK FRAME - I did not establish that it was a date, and I did not lead the frame. It doesn't hurt to be a fun and interesting guy, but unless I let her know that she's on a date with me, the night is practically wasted.
2. NO KINO ESCALATION - Sure there were the hugs, with the occasional playful light shove as we were playing the games, but I did not escalate. I think I may have trouble naturally escalating kino. It seems almost robotic when I do it.
3. DIDN'T READ HER CORRECTLY - I honestly thought she wanted to kiss me. Her body language implied that she didn't want to get out of the car, but maybe that was just it. Maybe she just wanted to stay out a bit longer than we did.
4. TIMING - It was all wrong. I tried to kiss her on the first night. I didn't make my move until it was too late. etc.
Gents, I would really appreciate any constructive criticism, your input, how you might salvage situation if you could, and any other advice to improve my game.
