| This is my first field report.
This weekend I went to a house party with a girl friend of mine (pivot). It was a birthday party for another girl I knew. We walked in and the girl I was with immediately ran off to see a friend. I looked around and noticed that the party consisted of mostly black guys, some decent looking girls, and about two or three white guys (including myself). I felt a little out of place, considering I had just come from a wedding reception and was still wearing a tie. I walked around a started talking to some guys around the beer pong table and just building social status. The more I talked and the longer I spent at the party, I felt more and more out of place. So I went to find my girl, who happened to be with about five other girls. Around these girls were several groups of guys wanting to talk to them but didn't know how (AFC's). Even though I am pretty AFC as well, I figured I would still try to avoid AA and play it up. I squeezed past the groups of guys, and entered the set by putting my arm around the waist of the girl I came in with. I leaned in and told her I wasn't feeling well and was going to leave, but that she should introduce me to the rest of the girls first. So she did, and I got to talking to each of them. One of the girls left, and another didn't seem interested. But I kept talking to them about school and boring crap, because I don't have much stack. But I kept a high energy and successfully kept some of them interested for a while. Eventually, I had an HB 8 right up on me playing with my tie, and talking to me about cheer or something at school. Then I got some pictures taken with them, and a couple girls kissing me on the cheek. After that, I really didn't know what to do, so I left. On my way out, it was like parting the red sea. As I walked toward the door, I got a bunch of hand shakes and several comments like, "You should come around here more often pretty boy."
Overall, I feel like it was successful night of practice.
I hope I got enough detail in there for some feed back. I am open for any comments. I am pretty new to the game, and could use any/all help.
