Well since she is a freshman and you are a sophmore you already got a huge plus because freshman girls strive to be with older guys. Is she in any of your classes? If she is just ask her a question about something to do with that class and then just do your thing with little negs here and there and show good body language by not leaning in to her or anything. If she isn't in your classes she might find it weird if you just walk up to her and say 'hey whatsup im cody'. I would just wait until she is with someone you know and that way you can go up to that person while they are with her and get introduced. Hope this helps .

this has worked for me, but im also good at basketball. i know the friends things kind of ruins the mood, but trust me she will be much more comfortable with a couple friends. mine was actually a 2v2, with 3 of her friends.

oh man, trust me neg as little as possible im also a sophomore, and girls our age, or younger, are not mature enough to handle a quality neg. Negs to build comfort is better against older women who have dealt with men and dont want guys hitting on them anymore. Girls our age want IOIs, u need to build comfort first, then neg. it took me and my friends a while to figure out why the MM wasnt truly working for girls our age. i suggest talking to her in class or through friends, otherwise ur gonna have to bump into her in the hallway, and then say 'listen if u want my attention that badly just ask, u dont gotta bump into me.' and take it from there
