| Hey guys, I'm new to the world of PU, this is my first post and it's about my first real attempt in the field.
What I did good
-I obeyed the 3-second rule and when I was near a potential set I would almost always open it, it was tough at times but what Mystery said really stuck with me - that if you are just standing around a set and lurking the girls are gonna get freaked out - that fear motivated me
-I was in control of the conversation
- I opened up group sets - even though it was intimidating sometimes
- I'd like to believe I was a good wing to my fellow PUAs since I introduced them to sets and told stories of DHV about them
- Used negs
- Mystery's games
What I learned
1- Negging! - thinking back I negged a lot BUT I made the mistake of negging not just the target but the whole set and I sometimes would neg without seeming to playful - in other words they might have thought I was being rude
2- recognising IOD! - there were situations where the group was not interested for whatever reason, after a few IOD's I should've left. I actually had situations where the girl would say "okay you can go now"
3- AMOG encounter - I am happy to say I had my first AMOG encounter. I opened a set, that night I was doing the routine where I have a different cologne on each wrist, and I ask sets to vote for the best one (went surprisingly well), anyway the girls the smelled it voted, had a laugh, it was all fun, then there was an AMOG - as I've learned I interacted with him, built rapport BUT then his AMOG side appear! - Firstly he wanted to grap my pen that I used to keep a tally of the best perfume, I didn't wanna give it to him but he insisted and got a bit physical - like trying to get it of me. Secondly, I am a touchy person, I try do kino escalation but I also touch the guys, all the other guys were fine with it but this one started calling me gay, now guys at this point I honestly didn't know what to do, and I didn't know whether to be 1) be assertive and say have you got a problem with me 2) or neg him to lower his value (by the way he was really drunk), what would you guys have done
4- Was in a set of 4 or 5, it was actually same set where the above incident occurred, before that, the target said how old do i look, she said she is 27 - the AMOG said aww you look 20 don't worry, this sounded very AFC so I naturally negged her and said no you look sort or 32 - NOW i know society says you shouldn't say a women looks older - it was funny she was really bitter after that, so I understood it's not good to say a women is older, even if it's a neg OR maybe as i said earlier, i was making the mistake of negging but not seeming playful so maybe that's why, what do you guys think?
Overall -
-I did about 8-10 approaches
- Got one number - it was a 3 set. did the perfume routine, negs, palm reading, kino escalation, FTC, then came back got her number - I felt that I could've kiss closed - i was getting lots of IOIs - BUT i was thinking it might be a good idea to tempt her and keep her guessing - I think next time I will K-close.
- towards the end I was getting a lot of negative reactions, it was really funny how rude some of them were - BUT I'm trying to stay positive because I know that the law of averages says that i will encounter out of 10 sets, 5 rude ones and 5 friendly ones, the more rude ones I encounter the closer I get to the friendly ones!
I was happy with my performance, cauz there's point in criticising myself and I love the PUA world! so I'll defo be coming back with more field reports
