Alright, what would be the best way to open hired help, like waitresses and such? So far, when I'm out with friends, I've been opening with observations about them and some banter. This has about a fifty/fifty success rate. Half the time, I get a good reaction, and the other half, I get the "paid to be nice" look. Suggestions?

But the best thing to do is to keep your routines short. You cannot keep her there, you have to be short and to the point, but still get your full message across. Really though, it'd be nice if you had more information on the situation so that we could critique better. Just make sure you're lively and open, but still keep all the principles of the game. Ex: if she doesn't respond to you in the right way then critique her waitress skills and compare her to other waitresses.

I agree with Divinus. Give us more of a run down of the situation.

But... I have gamed a few waitresses too. I love to play this game with them:

Put a $20 on the table or a $50, whatever. She will see it, and most likely ask if it's her tip. Every time she comes back, have less money sitting on the table. Neg her, like: she isn't keeping drinks filled, or she is taking too long to come back to check up, etc.

Eventually her tip becomes a dollar or a few cents, whatever you want. It's a fun game and it gets great reactions. Just be funny and tease her. She will love coming back to your table just to see what her tip is at. It makes her try to qualify herself. It's an easy n-close, almost every time.

As far as waitresses go, they are just paid to talk to you, and it's hard to get a genuine reaction out of them. They are great to practice on.
