I have currently notice that I am having difficulty open sets larger that 5. When I do pull it off, I find it hard to keep everyone engaged. So far the only method I have found to deal with this is using my wing and creating a dual-opener. Any ideas on how I can better direct conversation in large sets on my own.

Hey, big sets are intimidating and I think there's a misconception going around about having to have everybody actively engaged for a long time in the interaction. When gaming sets of five plus you don't need to have everybody in the group focusing on you. Chances are people will break off into sub groups and do their own thing. What you need to do is just get to know everybody a little bit and get this good guy vote from them, and then you can switch to your girl and go from there. If all her friends think you're harmless, then your chances of getting cock blocked are greatly diminished.

I agree with the "sub groups" - though in most cases it best to find the "leader" chick and work your game with her, get her approve, then you'll have the others approve most likely.
