If one has the choice to contact a specific girl on a dating site or on FB which is better? I found out we even share mutual friends on FB. If I do contact her on FB should I mention I saw her on the dating site or not?

Both ways have their own benefits/downfalls:

Facebook

Pro's
You have friends in common so you can relate
You have a reason to meet up/invite her out with mutual friends

Con's
Her intentions on facebook aren't probably to meet new people but instead keep in touch with her friends
Whenever i get a randomer add me, i tend not to add them.

Dating Site

Pro's
She intends on meeting people
She has probably paid to be on it so wants to meet people
When you add her on facebook having built rapport on online dating, you will have more to talk about - mutual friends

Con's
If she doesn't respond, it's kinda blown.

I would suggest chatting to her on facebook, but not mentioning that she is on the online dating website. Just use that to your advantage that you know that she is actively trying to seek a partner
