Here's the scoop I went to a friends birthday party last night. I get there and its going pretty well I started talking with everyone, but halfway through the night I felt I had no value. I tried dhv stories, pre-selection with some of the girls that were there, but nothing was working. At the end of the night I had a hard time even reopening a couple of sets I had set up from the begining. How do I do it for that not to happen again???

If you were having a bad night before you felt your let-down, that's more understandable, but you just need to plow through it.

If it's a more permanent problem, then definitely work on your inner game. You should be able to hold your frame for quite a while if your inner game is strong enough.

What I believe happened is that you psyched yourself out in a way. Im guessing you came in a little too aggressive, trying a tad bit too hard, and came off as pestering. What you have to learn is that these routines do not qualifiy you to women, those are used to build a rapport. You need to come in more naturally, open up a set and make it look effortless.

You just shouldn't control the conversation as much. If you open the night with exciting openers then everyone will already respect you as a participant of the party. Just wait around, you don't have to be the excitement of the party for the whole night, just occasionally, when the people around you are comfortable with letting you in on their stories then just be happy to be there and share the experience. Trying too hard often is a turn off not just for women but for groups as well and frankly it makes you seem uninteresting. Originality is a large part of attractiveness even if you scripted it before going in, the point is the stories were inspired by conversation that already happened, not just something random you say because you think its interesting or youre just trying to control the conversation over someone with something better to say. Just chill out, drink a little bit, get comfortable. The moment you feel you lost it is the point its gone. Listening is far more advantageous than any story you're ever going to tell.
