Plus you can always throw a tie in the backseat of your car as a set-up to DHV, because females always look around the inside of your car once they sit inside. I've done it before, and the girl didn't believe I even wore ties, or even knew how to tie one on my neck. It was a funny moment. Just a lil heads up. Planting a tie in the back seat of your car, or anything that might catch her curiosity.

No man a tie is not a good peacocking item at all. Ties are maybe there to display a funky personality and to demonstrate your character like colored shoe laces and get girls to IOI you. But the whole peacock theory is based on initial kino. No one will touch your tie and say OMG baby its sexxy... Not even if you make it with purple/lime green glow in the dark and hairy! they mite IOI you and say what planet are you from? but they wont go that in unless they are able to make a physical connection already. Think about it, its on your chest and tummy! If a girl touches that she will come across to her friends as easy without even knowing the guy. Its a different story if your wearing a vest or jacket thats peacocked, because it dosnt telegraph interest to touch your sholder or back!

Cool funky tie mite be fantastic for a IOI but not a peacock item. And it may be good later to escalate kino with, so on so forth. BUT a peacock item is a vest or jacket that has some type of wierd fethery plumage like thing, maybe even ferry wings or devil horns or something. Or a IOI Toy Cat for instance which is a bit of a IOI item and a peacock. But ties are a long shot unless the girl is really into you and ready to make a physical connection and start kino.

Because the second she touches your chest ie through your tie, thats like saying ' i want you '.

A Peacock Item could be any thing...

Ring, Hat, necklace, jacket , Tie , glasses , lenses ,etc...

If a Peacocking item make a girl initiate kino, thats great. But Peacocking is used for other things too.

1. Get extra Attention: "A Pick Up Artist is the exception of the rule." Peacocking will make you stand out form others , showing you are secure, etc...

2. Make girls approach you and open you asking something about your item.

3. Lock on : Put your hat, necklace, Tie on a girl and then leave. She will follow you to return you your item. Etc...

I get your point Impact but you can use a Tie as a peacocking item, it will work when locking on and if the tie is cool enough you will get girls asking questions about it.

My bad. From what i read and learned watching Style. I always thought peacocking is going extra extreme to make yourself part of a certain tribe that she wants to visit, and to get her to touch you and get the initial kino going. Either way some solid points, the post has some credit about girls and the will to touch you.

Yes, a tie is a good 'Peacocking" item. I've worn a tie w/ jeans, but wear nice shoes and make sure it blends w/ your outfit.

Top 2 buttons unbuttoned, do not wear it up around your neck like you should be wearing a suit, then you'll look like a Jackass!

Top 2 or 3 buttons unbuttoned. Darker colors: black, blue, charcoal gray w/ a medium colored blue jeans.

im going to agree with impact on his initial position, a tie is too common of a peacocking item for it even to peacock effectively. the whole idea behind peacocking is to be innovative, original, and amusing. a tie meets none of those three criteria by any stretch of the imagination. not saying that you cant get a convo started by peacocking with a tie, its just a fucking played out method to use, and half the time you'll wind up looking like a real tool.

I think the top PUA's really need to make it more clear! I suppose you can peacock a tie! its all just a jumble of confusion! My personal views on peacocking are a little bit different! Either way in the long run it shouldn't matter too much.

I've worn a white skinny tie out quite a lot, but I've only had a few girls approach me with it. Actually had quite a few guys asking me where I got it from too.

I don't know much about the deep philosophy of peacocking or how different the item has to be, I just think of it as something which attracts attention (will always be both positive and negative). For example, someones wacky hairstyle, someones giant height, their unusual accent or yes, crazy tie. If it gets someone approaching you will less anxiety as the peacocking item gives them a reason to approach, then it works.

I recently wore white aviator sunglasses instead - these had a much better impact. I was being approached all night by girls, some wanting to try them on, some saying how crazy i was for wearing them in a club, and others wanting to take a picture with me - definitely successful, this is similar to what I have:




Oh, and after 5 hours of clubbing, they hide my sore, tired eyes pretty well too ;]

A Tie is also a good lock in, after giving it to her she won't leave until your done.

a tie is def good but you'd want some weird/funky/different looking tie, unless you re the only one wearing a tie in the club (college bars and so on).

I usually use this D&G tie with drawings of pin-ups from the 50s on it, it s great for peacocking, initiating humor ("i got it at the dollar store") and then negging/DHV ("of course not! did you really believe that? I got it in Italy this one time...")

OMG my peacocking attire always includes a tie and I'm a chic so, yeah the who no one will touch your tie and think it's sexy is way wrong. but that's just one opinion
