this thread is awesome. I can't believe what some "PUAs" are wearing out there... some of them look so generic with just your button down, baggy jeans and shoes. Yeah, you can make the case of "I'm alpha, if I think I look good enough, then I look good enough" and stuff like that. Well guess what, if you want truly BANGING women, all 10's and no 9's 8's and 7's then I'm sure a huge bulk of us here can work on our fashion sense.

I mean, shit, some of those guys look hella attractive up there and a big part of it is because of their clothes. I feel like just because they are wearing their clothes it even makes their FACES more attractive, holy crap hmm... maybe its because we're wired to think that only attractive people dress like that and if we see someone in those clothes, something happens to our minds where we think they are more attractive than they are?

oh god. I feel like shooting myself after reading the previous comment.

A friend of mine went out numerous times at night with just jeans, and an OOOLD sweater with a tear on it(looked cheap, and something bums wear). And he god mad pussy.

It's not what you're wearing, it's how comfortable you are in them. Shit you sound like a chick. Wait, no.

You sound like a fucking pussy.

Nobody here is saying that highend fashion kia a requirement, but it certainly helps. I used to work on the door of one of the most exclusive nightclubs in town filled with 9's 10's, and if you weren't in vogue, you weren't coming in. We kept a 3 girls for every two guys ratio around the clock for two years and we never let in anyone in baggy jeans and a tshirt (except a few famous djs and rappers entourages)

point being, it's not a requirement, but it helps

Exactly.
I hate when people use stupid "logic" like:
He gets mad pussy with crappy clothes so that means nice clothes are meaningless

good!
Although you did take all of the pics from the satorialist it was nice to see someone who appreciates proper fashion. Fashion is not subjective something works or it doesn't. With true confidence in dress anything can be accomplished. What are you favorite designers just wondering?
What exactly determines if something does or doesn't work?

Guessing from these pictures I'd say fashion is good fit, matching colors, consistent style, skinniness and originality.

^^ good video but that shit is SO old.

good to see though some PUA's (and I'm using that term loosely) have some SoHo flavor.

hey guys, sorry i left this topic out to dry. seems like it was going in a good direction

tailored blazer, fitter button up shirt, slim tie, fitted pants, and a pair of shoe from aldo. That's good enought for me. As for the day. Shirt and jeans are always good. No need to complicate things. You don't want your confidence to depend on the clothes you're wearing.
your missing the point incredibly, i didn't create this topic to say you need clothes for confidence with women. It's not about "complicating things". It's also not even about women.

do you dress so incredibly shitty that these particular looks seem "over complicated" to you? apparently so.

these people, unlike yourself, are creative individuals. they dress the way they do because they *ding* *ding* *ding* LIKE it. and they just so HAPPEN to have a knowledge of fashion as well. it's not about women, its about expressing yourself. but thats not to say that 9 times out of ten u get the perk of attracting women.

your mind seems to be simply unable to grasp why anyone would have a particular style without a goal of some sort. and if thats the case, i feel sorry for you. u probably dress like shit.

anyway thought i'd post a coat i thought you guys would like

I know a great ebook about style. I didn't try it but my friend claims it is really good. Maybe for someone it will be valuable. Just wanted to share.

Show some individuality man, if you are getting your style from pictures on the internet how are you suppose to be different? One of the biggest things you need to be solid in Pick Up is being an individual.

The best style is your style. I strive to be a trend setter not a trend follower. I don't at all understand why a guy would wear that stuff. I know of a lot of girls who do not like a guy that dresses like that, they do judge a book by it's cover. In fact they cut down those guys, so you are literally out of the loop before you ever get a shot. Girls don't like guys that dress like that in a lot of cases, in some cases they assume they are homosexual and move on for another target. Fashion is overrated and style is where it is at.

Why don't guys realize poor people makes styles rich people follow. You think poor people wanted to wear shredded up pants? No they have to, now rich people buy them and try to be like them. Why wear old wore in pants? They can't afford them. Baggy pants were hand me downs from older siblings, they couldn't afford to buy the kids new clothes so they had to wear big clothes. Most of the time shoes that gain the most popularity are cheap shoes not expensive ones. Tags being left on hats? So they can return them. Stop trying to act as if your cool with fashion by overspending on clothes poor people hate to wear but have to. Dress with some class and style.

You don't need to have expensive clothes, you just need some style, some concepts of color and what works in your particular case. I.E. I have hazel eyes, I wear purple, green, and grey. I also have wide shoulders so I choose certain shirts. Figure out what look works for you and use it. Don't act like fashion is a necessity, it is style, and body language that is really the necessity.

Dress with style, individuality, and for yourself not someone else. Can you imagine a big guy wearing clothes like that? Be a trend setter not a trend follower. Looking like you woke up and stole your pants from a thrift store is not impressive by any means.
